Auburn & Arkansas both got inflated scoring numbers because each of them was able to play 2 cupcakes and hang big scores on them. Auburn had 60 & 62 on Akron & Alabama State. Arkansas hung 45 on Georgia Southern & Arkansas-Pine Bluff (also got in a shoot out with Ole Miss and scored 51)

Even with all of that we'll still be the best offense Georgia faces in the regular season. Despite us facing 4 top 50 defenses already this season (Pitt, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky) and South Carolina is 60th. So our offense is legit...I think we can score 20+ on Georgia, but if we're making mistakes with penalties or turnovers then we won't be able to do it. Better question will be can our defense stop their offense from moving the ball and keeping our offense off the field.

Georgia's offense is also being propped up a bit from non offensive touchdowns.

The offense has only accounted for 34 TDs this season for a total of 238 points (counting PATs) of their 303 on the season. 3 INTs and 1 PR for TDs on the season, plus however many short fields their defense gave their offense for easy TDs.

So why did Gary Patterson quit? Ask to be leaved? Jump ship? What gives?

The fan base has been slowly checking out over the last four years, since 2017 season TCU is sub-.500 with one Cheez-It Bowl victory. It’s a familiar pattern from guys like Fulmer, Richt, or Mack Brown, coaches just get stale if they stay at the same place for long enough, and they become a victim of the expectations they themselves have set. The closest analogy might be Bobby Bowden because GP built that program up from nothing. Supposedly he lost the support of a few of his BMD allies and they approached him about stepping down.

Is TCU even that much better job of a job than SMU? I'd personally rather stay at SMU, or hope for the Tech job.

Like @butchna said, TCU is better just due to the league they play in, but otherwise very similar schools. The selling point over Tech is living in Fort Worth over Lubbock.

I know Jeff Traylor just signed an extension with UTSA, but he should be their top choice. Also should give Billy Napier and Jamey Chadwell a hard look.
