The coaches wanted him. The brass was scared of his health problems
I'm not even sure if I believe that considering their last three first round picks were injured players: Caleb Farley (back), Jeffery Simmons (knees), Isaiah Wilson (didn't have a brain).

Just hard to believe they weren't willing to use a 6th on Trey for health reasons.

The Titans have not been great at draft picks as of late, unfortunately.
It is really baffling. They had a few years where they pretty much nailed their draft evals. Since then there's been some serious busts, and the number of busts is increasing.

Makes me wonder if they had some scouts get promotions and the new guys aren't up to snuff.

If we have a 3-4 TD first quarter explosion this game will be over almost before it starts. Even with depth issues I don’t see is giving up that many points to this KY offense.

That would be ideal. I don’t see UK being able to keep up in a shootout type game. Love to get up a few scores and pin our ears back and get after Levis...let Byron Young eat.

I've read several places the last day or so talking about Tennessee's ability to handle to cold weather in Lexington this weekend and how it's the first cold game for Heupel's offense. They are acting like Kentucky has been playing in cold games all year and they haven't!

How does anyone know that Kentucky will be able to handle the cold weather? It's not like they are out this week practicing at 6pm to get used to cooler weather.

You ever played Football? 40s and 50s you don’t even feel it…. Especially if you are “playing” lol don’t even know why they are talking about it period.

That's crazy. They played in Mississippi and Georgia the last two weeks

I 100% agree. I'm not sure why they are talking about it either. Plus, it's not like these guys haven't played in cold weather before....Hooker played in Blacksburg, VA and he will be touching the ball every play.

2020 Draft: 2/6 meaningful contributions - Fulton and Chris Jackson. Murchison has been in and out.
2019 Draft: 5/6 - Simmons, Brown, Nate Davis, Hooker, D. Long.
2018 Draft: 3/4 - Rashaan Evans, Landry, Cruikshank.
2017 had solid players that are playing elsewhere now through trades.

Then we look at 2021:
Farley - reinjured and on IR
Radunz - a disappointment so far and needs serious improvement.
Rice - has played some and not terrible.
Molden - probably going to be the best in this class.
Fitzpatrick - already gone.
Weaver - IR
McMath - doesn't play, I think on practice squad
Breeze - recently off IR.

2020 killed the Titans with misses on Wilson and others. Needed 21 to recover from that and the picks were just baffling at times. Needed a stud WR and got two guys that were wasted picks over guys still on the board seeing meaningful snaps for other teams. Needed OL and picked up Radunz who was not prepared to start when guys like Trey Smith were available. Rice gave us deoth at LB we needed. Weaver I think will end up being a good pick when healthy. Molden will likely be a starter for several years. Farley looked unprepared when he returned and is showing to be injury prone.

Titans window for a Super Bowl is closing fast with this crew and D.Henry. Screwing up the 20-21 drafts is a dagger.

Don’t even get me started, MoCo. Guy’s in the Titans’ backyard, but they didn’t know he could play? Didn’t know about his health issue, and how he was managing it? Just lazy.

I’ll say it again: Trey Smith will end up being one of the NFL’s all time worst collective scouting failures. How 31 organizations missed on this guy I’ll never understand.

The worst part...he didn't go until the 6th round. So they not only missed on him, but they did it repeatedly for multiple rounds.
