That is why I think we lose. Their DL will live in the backfield, and we will not be able to run.

It is what it is this year...it is not the staffs fault.
MISS ST ran for a pedestrian 94 yards against KY but threw for 344 yards winning by 14 points. This may be a game where we pass to set up the run. If Cade plays I do like our chances of surpassing 94 yards though.

But those 94 yards were about double Miss State's season average....they NEVER run the ball.

Yeah...IF Cade plays...also MSUs QB was having an out-of-body experience kind of game...I love Hendo, but I am not counting on that happening.

It is weird that MSU only won by two TDs considering all the TOs Kensucky had, which is another thing..hard for me to see us forcing Levis to throw 3-4 ints.

"pedestrian" wow...before that game Mississippi State was averaging 48.7 rushing yards a game. It's their 2nd highest total in a game all season, they simply don't run the ball.

We're averaging 225.4 rushing yards a game, despite the injuries on the OL & to our RBs.

Our lowest rushing total all season was 64 at Bama. Every other game we've had 135 or more rushing yards. If Kentucky is as worn down as they appeared against Mississippi State to allow them to be able to run it for 35 times despite being the worst rushing offense in the SEC, they could be in for a very long night if we're able to do the same thing.

Maybe on his completion %...but Will Rogers was doing what he always does, that Mike Leach offense is all about short high % throws and chipping away yards for long drives.

344 passing yards was his 3rd lowest total of the season and he only threw for 1 TD, the 39 attempts was also his lowest of the season. Kentucky just couldn't get off the field and their offense was atrocious.

THis doesn't add up to me. Most of the metrics are in our favor and then the win probability is lopsided.

Can you tell me the numbers for tomorrow's lottery since you can see the future? Or at least tell me whether or not we keep it close against UGA next week so I don't waste my time....

oh you mean you need to be Nostradamus to be able to tell a DB who hasnt played in over a year with major back surgery and an OL project wouldnt be good top draft picks? Or are you implying JRob has been killing it with first round draft picks?

You mean the defensive back who tore his ACL while PLAYING in the Monday Night game against the Bills? That defensive back?

I'm not saying JRob has killed it, but to act like anyone knows what rookies halfway through their first year are going to be when they are actually playing is crazy.

Really comes down to if we can get first downs and avoid 3 & outs.

It's no shock that in our 3 lowest plays per game (meaning our offense rarely saw the field) we lost.

3 losses and the defense was on the field for 80+ plays
3 losses and the offense was only on the field for 70 or less plays

What also stands out is that the top 2 rushing yard games against us had QBs that both went for over 140 yards. Levis can run the ball, so I'm not so quick to just write him off. He's ran for almost 200 yards on the season, and with how effective QBs have been running on us I'd say it's something we can expect.

Stoops likes to shorten the game by running the ball a lot. He's definitely going to want to do that this weekend to keep the Tennessee offense off the field. Stop their running game and force their offense to rely on Levis throwing the ball. He's inconsistent and turnover prone.

Stoops is also going to play a lot of zone to limit big plays in the passing game...and his DBs haven't shown the ability to hold up in man coverage. The offense will have to be patient and not try to force something down the field. Decent success in the running game to keep the offense out of 2nd or 3rd and long situations will give the offense a lot of good option to keep moving the chains. Kentucky's defense hasn't been the best at tackling in space lately, so maybe we see some big plays from a RB or WR making some guys miss.

Kentucky’s best running back is in the middle of a mental breakdown right now so he may not play much.
