From personal experience with a broke big toe, rotate your leg outward and you won’t be able to push off with that foot. Takes all the stress and weight off your big toe.

I hate it that a life was lost. I hate it that lessons like this have to be realized/worn.

If that was my daughter or son he killed, he would not be alive once he got out or probation. He killed someone by driving 156 miles an hour regardless if he was drunk. That compounds it. He’s lucky to be alive. She’s not. But he’s the one short sighted.

They don't make that kind of money really. My Dad did Uber for a while. It is not an easy job.

I did Uber Eats for 2 weeks for extra money when I was switching jobs a year and a half ago. Made $800/week and only worked 5-6 hours a day. Usually 2-3 hours for lunch, and 2-3 hours for dinner. The job itself, for Uber Eats at least, was easy and I actually enjoyed it. Just threw on some music and drove where I needed to. Long term outlook of the job though is less appealing just knowing the miles I put on my car those two weeks plus cost of gas, taxes to pay later, etc. For a quick buck and a couple weeks of work though I was happy.

Yeah, Nashville is my hometown. In my twenties I’d have a blast with those parties. Obviously now, no way, too old for that. But can see how it’d be a nightmare. Nashville has evolved into something else. Downtown is full crazy.

I was mistaken earlier. Blanton didn't pardon them for pay...commuted their sentence to life. Both died in prison. They grabbed Buddy in front of his family and supposedly told his wife not to call the police or they'd kill him. So she waited several hours to notify the authorities...and killed him less than 20 minutes after departing. You can read from your linked article why the family held her in suspicion. For an extra punch, King lived up the street from me. I played with his kids and my mom dropped his wife off at work from time to time.
