If that was my daughter or son he killed, he would not be alive once he got out or probation. He killed someone by driving 156 miles an hour regardless if he was drunk. That compounds it. He’s lucky to be alive. She’s not. But he’s the one short sighted.
Man, What was it like never making any mistakes at 22 years old? No speeding or anything.. wow.
What he did was terrible and he should be punished, but it was an accident. He didn’t hunt this lady down and kill her on purpose. Accidents like this happen every single day

I’m not a fan at all. The best studies show no benefit if protein is matched and even muscle protein breakdown if taken in a fasted state. Basically it signals muscle protein synthesis but doesn’t provide the necessary complete proteins to do the job so your body goes to work breaking down its own proteins to complete the work order.

I’ve used it in the past but not anymore
Nick will save you $$$. He knows supplements.

Which you will have to spend on new clothes.

But you will save thousands in doctor bills later on.

Best investment I ever made.

Wow. Yes mistakes happen but he has to be a grown up/maturity decisions before he ever drinks and gets behind the wheel of a freaking car. Get a ride home figured before you go out. not all mistakes are created equal. He killed someone’s wife, mom, sister. You should pay for you mistakes if that is the outcome. It sucks but if you give everyone a kill one person get out of free jail card then you have anarchy

I've seen it mentioned already but the Oklahoma State punishment handed down portends very poorly for us. Feels like they're setting the stage to drop the hammer on UT. My BVS has me thinking our heavy handed punishment will be the last action the NCAA takes before ultimately being reconfigured or dissolved completely. I could see Pruitt being their key source. I'm legit worried about this.

It is going to be Beldar's word against an army of folks that disliked him.

" Your honor we would like to enter into evidence the Gump started JG multiple times."

" Objection! Relevance? "

" Counselor I'm gonna allow that 'cause damn!"

The scooters are an interesting public policy and insurance case study. So fun yet dangerous.
Our cab driver in Nashville said some absurdly high number of ER visits in Nashville used to be bikers and that number was quickly overtaken by electric scooters.

We rode some of the Birds and Lyft ones there the same weekend and I immediately understood why. Can't imagine all the drunk folks that hop on one of those and hit a pothole or even a rock and go flying or lose balance. They need way fatter tires or maybe 2 small tires and more width to stand on. They were pretty shaky as-is.

I really do believe they are "reconfiguring" to be more agile. I think they've seen how quickly things are changing in college sports and how unhappy people are at their slow responses, not just to changes, but personal cases. I believe Emmert said something to that effect - they need individual case outcomes to be quicker.

That said, I doubt all the universities (who ARE the NCAA) want to go through years of wholesale change from one entity to another - when it would be a mere name change in the end...unless they all want conferences to rule themselves - though I doubt anyone wants such non-uniformity...wouldn't make sense. Jmo

Actually not trying to be. I'm not sure which post you were referring to. I really did fall yesterday and hurt my big toe. Mentioned it last night, and Doc had responded. And it really is purple today. Sorry if my purple toe has offended you.
Your toe has me pretty ticked off and I’m having trouble moving on

Accidents yes.

This is drunken vehicular homicide.
Big difference. If your daughter was killed by a drunk driver, you would just shrug and say oh well, just an accident? Really?

I heard on the radio this morning that Von Miller left Denver because he was angry that his teammates didn't reimburse him for money he spent on a Halloween party. Now the Titan's have to face Aaron Donald, Von Miller, and Jalen Ramsey this weekend. Crazy

And our attorneys will then show them the precedents previously set by the ncaa for marquee schools and give them the Double Gauldens of course.

Then Tennessee administration will tell them that we can do this the easy way, accept that we fired the entire coaching staff, made the AD retire, and imposed a reduction of scholarship players by more than 10. Those players transferred as they were required to as part of Tennessee’s self-imposed punishment.
Publically, the ncaa can agree that’s worse sel-imposed punishment than they would hand down.

If anything else happens, then Tennessee will Volunteer to lead the change with no more ncaa. They can do this the hard way or the easy way.

A self-reported secondary infraction of paying a player on the roster $300. I agree.

More to it than just that.

From a teammate of Von's on a podcast he said (paraphrasing) "Von does this yearly party, everyone chips in. It's what we do, if you're not going you just don't chip in. Really not a big deal. Well this year we lost a few games leading up the party and Von asked the team via group chat if we could just cancel it to focus on football. And that lead to a bunch of ****."

He didn't elaborate on what was said or anything but I'd guess a good portion of the team that chipped in for the party were pissed he was trying to cancel it and then he was pissed the team didn't want to focus on football etc.

Someone I went to high school with compartmentalized her mother's DUI manslaughter as something "God led her to hit the other person because she had drunk-drove hundreds of times before that without hurting anyone." Basically saying it was divine intervention and she was the one chosen by God to take the other person's life since it was that person's time to go.

I interpreted that as people doing whatever they can to process, cope, compartmentalize etc tragedy so they can stomach it and ignore reality.

That isnt compartmentalization. It's bizarro world. Did anyone mention free will? Near perverted logic as Islamists using Quran to justify murder.

You have a lot of confidence in a school that wouldn’t even stand up to the NCAA over a Bruce Pearl BBQ. The UTAD has been impotent for years.

When I was in my late thirties….. I developed a workout that worked really well for me….. I showed gains every single week and had gotten to where I could lift quite a bit and was getting fairly big for how I wanted to look…. One of the guys at my gym came over to me and asked what kind of supplements I took…. I told him I drink diet mountain dews which was the truth bc I didn’t do anything outside of working out…. Just ate regular food and drink diet mountain dews. LOL
