Congress pushing to curb NCAA's investigative and punitive autonomy
Proposal targets NCAA's 'judge, jury' autonomy
Something to keep in mind with the Oklahoma State thing is they have been keeping stuff from the ncaa and fbi for several years and are just now cooperating, that is different than us immediately cooperating so we will just have to wait and see what happens
Meaning to kill someone and accidentally killing someone from dumb decisions is two totally different things. Both are terrible. End of convoNot all accidents are equal. He didn't hunt her down and kill her on purpose, but he chose to get drunk, he chose to get behind the wheel of a car while drunk, and he chose to drive extremely recklessly while drunk. Bad choice after bad choice after bad choice. And in the end, he most likely won't receive a punishment equal to the crime. Chances are, even if he faces say, a 20 year sentence, he'll be out to still enjoy a large portion of his life. Yet the victim will still be dead and her family left to grieve.
Everyone has their own levels of forgiveness. I could certainly understand if the family of the victim never forgives Ruggs. Intentional or not, the actions that led to her death were certainly intentional, and his carelessness has robbed them of something precious that can never be replaced. Put in that situation, my immediate reaction probably would be wanting the guy dead. I can only hope I would eventually reach a peace that would allow me to forgive, but I can't guarantee I would. Put yourself in the position of losing a child, or a spouse, or a parent, or anyone you hold dear because someone decided to be stupid. How deeply hurt, how unimaginably angry would you be?
They both have the same result. Someone is dead and a grieving family is left to suffer that loss. The law cares about intent, but those left to grieve usually do not.Meaning to kill someone and accidentally killing someone from dumb decisions is two totally different things. Both are terrible. End of convo
Prayers for comfort and peace for you and your family. God Bless.I’d appreciate some prayers for my family. Yesterday I lost my dad to a massive heart attack. He lives in Scotland so my family and I can’t attend the funeral because of COVID.
He was flawed but he was the person that got me into Tennessee Football. Always wore his power T proudly while there. Gonna miss the old man.
I am sure it was a strong ****ing interview and that the persons doing the interview wanted to punch Will Wade dead in his stupid face.I heard on the radio today that the NCAA finally sat down with Will Wade sometime last week.....
