We beat Liberty out of Jackson for our only win. Worst season in school history. Our new coach is an alum, 1st year on the job. He wasn’t hired until June or July, then we had a bunch of kids quit. Rough year.

Probably but when you're regional with a fanbase full of people who live and breathe orange and baseball season now runs into football season you need to watch yourself.

Chandler looks like an entirely different player.

His coach isn't pining about him being 50 pounds heavier and is instead utilizing his talents. We really could've used Ty this year but I don't blame him for getting away from a coach that never wanted an RB like him.

Was out to dinner with my wife last night downtown and it was one of those places where the tables are within arms reach of each other. Table next to me, two couples probably in their 40-50s, started talking football. Apparently the couple on my side were Vol fans and the lady goes, “Our coach is awful. I have no optimism with him. Honestly, if he loses tomorrow I think he’s gone.”

One of those casual "fans" who doesn't know who the coach is. I'd bet that the person still thinks Pruitt is the coach...

The Braves guy is radio color man Joe Simpson. He puts his foot in his mouth a lot (one reason why I don’t think he does tv anymore). He was clearly talking about the Astros. The Braves do a great job with fans all across the southeast (known as “Braves Country”). They have college nights every summer where colleges within their footprint get a night dedicated to them at the ballpark, including UT.

We also saw what it did for Florida in the long run. Short term its fine, but long term youre creating depth issues bringing in so many upper class men each class.

There's a balance. If we really are allowed to bring in 30+ because we lost so many, then I think you can build a nice blend

Also need to re-read the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant (Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever) a series of high fantasy novels written by Stephen R. Donaldson...

Read Covenant in high school. It was very, very good.
