Defense had a bad game. But when you look at the body of work over the season this staff has gotten far better results than expected given lack of depth and having to unteach Pruitt's crap. Anyone wanting Banks replaced needs to fire themselves as a fan.

Caught some of the 247/CBS reaction show and they were clowning the announcing as well. They basically called the dude announcer an idiot.

I can’t believe some of you are giving the Defense such a hard time. Did you watch the game? Have you paid attention to Kentucky this year or the last few years?

They have a very experienced and impressive OL, competent running backs, and a QB who can make plays with his legs. For years they have perfected an offensive ground-game, chew up clock, methodical game plan.

On the other hand, we score in like 10 seconds or less each possession.

We are also not Bama or Georgia with a full bevy of scholarship studs to constantly rotate in. We have like 32 guys, many of whom played almost EVERY SNAP!

It was just a perfect storm to show some of the weak points of our defense. You can tell how tired they are when they start missing easy tackles and letting the offense get past them.

And yet, somehow, somehow, despite playing the equivalent of two full games worth of snaps - they still held at the end.

I muted the TV within 5 minutes of the game starting last night. Beth is not the greatest, but she is not the worst. That dude worker alongside her last night was the WORST.

Honestly after watching his presser, I like him. He didn't make excuses. He broke down the issues well. He has made Kentucky football relevant.

I will say though, with a school like that you need a coach like ours that can scheme you wins. Future is bright. I hope Hype can keep his staff together. If so Tennessee football is going to be so much fun to watch.

It’s time for him to take a job elsewhere. I think he’s found the ceiling at UK. He needs to take the FSU job next time it comes open.

They immediately got up and left en masse. The club level was honestly really cool with the eat what you want buffet lines, open bar, etc. i probably would’ve enjoyed that experience more if they weren’t playing UT…i did not realize how much they truly hate us. The people around me were extremely hostile, calling Tennessee fans (and the band) low class. I’ve been to other games there before…even UT UK games (my wife is a UK fan)…and I’ve never experienced that level of vitriol. I guess it’s because we’re normally sitting with regular folks rather than their most diehard (and presumably wealthy) fans last night lol. Normally it’s just a little playful ribbing. This wasn’t playful. Lol

28-45 SEC record.
2-7 record against Tennessee.

Since Rick Barnes arrived in Knoxville in 2015, Tennessee leads the basketball series 8-7. Even during some of their best runs in both sports, its not been a good run for Kentucky.

Edit: One 10-win season in football (unless they win out and win their bowl this year). 0 SEC titles. 0 SEC Eastern Division titles.

Mark Stoops and Kentucky will never be better than this. This is their ceiling.

That made me proud-- as tired as they were-- being out there almost the whole game-- they held Kentucky enough to win that game.
