– Kentucky ran 99 offensive plays tonight, a school record for a regulation-length game. The old record was 95 plays vs. LSU in 1997. The overall record is 110 plays in the four-overtime game vs. Tennessee in 2007.

– Kentucky had 35 first downs tonight, third-most in school history and second-most for a regulation game.

– Kentucky had 612 yards total offense, most since 635 yards at Tennessee in 2016.

– This is the first time in school history that UK had scored at least 41 points in a regulation game and lost. Prior to tonight, Kentucky was 119-0 when the Wildcats scored at least 41 points in regulation.

– Kentucky broke a streak of six consecutive wins in games decided by seven points or less, including 4-0 this season.

– Since the beginning of the 2016 season, Kentucky is 19-8 (.704) in games decided by seven points or less.

– With Chris Rodriguez rushing for 109 yards tonight, it is the seventh-consecutive home game vs. Tennessee that UK has had a 100-yard rusher.

– This is the fourth time in school history that UK has had a 350-yard passer, 150-yard receiver and 100-yard receiver in the same game and the first time since Auburn in 2015.

– This is the first time that UK has had two players with seven catches against an SEC opponent since Randall Cobb and Raymond Sanders vs. Georgia in 2010.

They missed a stat...82nd loss to Tennessee.

We are doomed on the recruiting trail, when it comes to defensive players. Just don't see how anyone is going to want to come to Tennessee.

Banks sitting in the living room of a recruit...

Recruit: How about playing time coach? You think I'll see the field?

Banks: Playing time? Son, you'll get all the playing time you want and then some.

Recruit: That sounds exciting!

Banks: Yes sir. Our defense is on the field 45-50 minutes every game. Lots of exposure.

Recruit: Wait. Wut? ....

They won’t be out there so long if they get stops. Sure, the pace of the UT offence will make things more difficult on the UT defence as the game goes along but yesterday UK was marching up and down the field from the outset. That had nothing with pace of play.

I will tell you what that Chris Rodriguez is a heck of a RB.

He was hard to tackle.
Yeh he’s really good. Would love to have a big 230lb back in this offense that runs that hard. Would give us another layer. Hell that kid gets yards after contact every single carry. He’s been doing that his whole career. Can’t wait until he’s gone lol

Lol... I've never actually prayed to see an opponent punt until last night... Holy cow... We got three stops last night... The 4th down at the end of the 1st half (HUGE PLAY #1), the pick six (huge play 2) and the 4th down to end the game (huge play 3).

And thanks to the offense, those are the only three plays they had to make.

We need bodies on defense, badly.

If we could have made them punt just twice... We win by 10+ lol

So far we've won every game I expected. The only one that was even close was last night's game against Kentucky. IIRC, I said I didn't know enough about Pitt to predict that game, and I thought Ole Miss was a toss up. I said BG, TN Tech, Mizzou, SCar, KY, S. Ala., and Vandy would all be wins. Barring complete catastrophe, South Alabama and Vandy should be wins.

And I did say I expected it from this staff. I had faith, and so far, it's been rewarded.
Ok..they have done way more with much less than anybody on here should have reasonably expected. They have vastly exceeded my expectations...and that is a good thing. It wasn't because I didn't have "faith"...it is because I recognize the reality of our roster situation.

We have fools on VolNation dragging Heupel and staff somewhere on VN right now for not winning the Pitt and and Ole Piss games...and for scoring too much too fast against Kentucky.

Actually the amount of time defense is on the field at times could be a good pitch to recruits. Theres room to get lots of guys snaps if we get talent in here. And we intend to play agressive and give them a chance to cause turnovers, which we've shown this season. Oh and the offense is electric and will put up points to take pressure off you.

And what kid worth anything is gonna worry about being on the field too much? Lol that's not a scenario that concerns high school kids. Thats a scenario that concerns old people who worry about getting tired.

those people are trolls, or idiots.

I said 6-6. 7-5 possible. W's..BG, tech, USCe, vandy, USA. L's.. Florida, bama, Georgia, ole Miss. So our season was going to be determined by our record against... Missouri, Pitt and Kentucky... With Kentucky maybe being the most difficult off those three.

I did not see Missouri being as bad as they are. And I had no idea what we would actually look like. Last night, imo, was a huge win for this program, and for this coach.

So to be here on the door step of 7-5, a shot at 8-5... In year one... We could finish 2nd in the East lol. Pretty sure we're all but guaranteed 3rd.
