This tired excuse, although a legit one , only explains part of it.
They must of been tired before the game started, rough trip up I guess, because they got beat well and often on the opening series.
And they didn’t play last Saturday.
If it is legit, then it is not an excuse...it is a valid reason. I don't like how the defense performed last night either, but this was an aberration...against a really good OL being allowed to get away with murder and a QB playing the game of his life..and yet they scored a defensive TD and bowed up and stopped Kentucky when it mattered the most.

They are badly outmanned...that is not an excuse, it the reason. This staff has sqeezed everything they can out of this roster, and I am proud of them..

Beth Mowins “Tennessee needs another 52 plays to tie Kentucky” probably. I was so tired of the hearing TOP or the number of plays difference in that game.

It’s great to have a QB that can actually hit a receiver in stride. Really need him to back to help with this rebuild.

Need to get this running back room more depth or at least one that can stay healthy.

Defense just need some dudes and be a little more aggressive on 3rd downs. Our efficiency on 3rd is ridiculously terrible.
I think Gus Johnson is the best play by play caller. I don't even like the BIG10; however, he makes the games bearable.

I was worried that fumble would be the momentum shift that kept us from ultimately winning this one. Especially when UK marched down and tied it. Can't say enough about the fight in this team. They came up big when they needed to and that is a good solid foundation to build on.
Was there ever a view of out of bounds at the KY 29 yard line? That would have ended the game in 2Q.

Lol @ Florida
I honesty think I was happier about the Gators gagging on a Bag o 'Cocks, than The Peay or UT win.

They won’t be out there so long if they get stops. Sure, the pace of the UT offence will make things more difficult on the UT defence as the game goes along but yesterday UK was marching up and down the field from the outset. That had nothing with pace of play.
If they had gotten more stops last night we would hung 70+ on them.

I don’t think so. I wanted to see another angle on the sidelines. We snap the ball so quickly, I’m not sure they even had time to look. If it has been close I think CJH would have stalled to give the replace time to look, so I assumed it was obvious he stepped out. 🤷🏽‍♂️

So we spent most of last week at the hospital. I had to break hospice because the confusion levels were so high things were at the point that I could not help him. We get there and blood work comes back fine (amonia was not elevated) so doc without any other testing decides he is simply overmedicated. This ends with us having to use a different service with them switching his meds. He is ok for a few days and then boom back to not making sense. No answers and no help and now he's hurting worse than before with a service that won't effing listen to me. I no longer have any clue what the hell I'm supposed to do.

Our game really needs to come on before I lose what is left of my mind.

We have some fans that seem to think we’ll whoop Georgia… I just hope Hooker doesn’t go down for the season. 49-17 fighting Smarts…. Their team is simply way way way too talented for us to compete past maybe halftime
Find me on person that is saying this LOL.

Went to see Metallica last night for the 1st time...man...they were so good.

Saw them at a festival in freaking Newport TN, of all places. Field/parking lot was pitch black, drove into a drainage ditch.
Metallica was amazing. Bet a bunch of drunk college kids they couldn't lift a car, got out of the ditch for free - with no damage.
Awesome night, lol.

We are going to be vicious when we get some defensive depth and a little more experience on the defensive side.

Speaking of experience, these games are gonna pay off big-time down the road for our underclassmen getting so many reps.

We're getting more dangerous every week, because our players are learning more and more that they are good, that they can compete, and they can fully trust the coaching staff and AD (athletic department in general).
