Tony Elliot got that Clemson offense rolling to a tune of 22.2 ppg and 330 ypg, both dead last in the mighty ACC.

Meanwhile, UT scoring 38.2 ppg (3rd in SEC) and averaging 457 ypg (4th in the SEC).
No i don’t. I still think Tony Elliot is a great coach and recruiter. That doesn’t mean I’m not very happy with Heupel and what he’s done so far. Clemson has a lot of issues internally. Dabo and their admin hasn’t been as helpful with players & their NIL potential which is causing major issues inside their locker room.

Agree completely.

Some of the older farts on here will remember Joe Lee Dunn, the DC for OM, Arky, MSU and even USCe before they joined the SEC. There was never a play that he did not think he should blitz. Some games his method would dominate, others it would fail miserably. But you always knew you were in for a treat to watch it. He made being the underdog with less talent enjoyable and pulled off some upsets as a result.

So, DC Banks, go all Joe Lee Dunn on UGA. You and the team have zero to lose and everything to gain.
One of my first and favorite football memories is hearing an adult yell "Joe Lee Dunn can go to hell!" in the Grove at Ole Miss

He passed this year, RIP

I hope the Wade twins enjoyed the game last night.

I get the Destin kid wants a shot at QB but if he was a realist he would realize that if he plays another position like WR then he should strongly consider what that position is and which school is best for that position. If it’s WR then it’s hands down TN.

Ohh that makes sense. I didn’t know much about him. Watch the game a little bit last week. He schemes up nicely, different formations, and calls a good game.
Wide zone based out of pistol and utilizes heavy personnel but still is very vertical. Kind of like a more college/spread Kyle shannahan

Elliott has only had success with absolute ridiculous stud QBs. Heupel is making HH look like he was the #1 QB coming out of HS.

Heup > Elliott and it ain’t close

That’s not the argument. It’s about leading a program and i believe Tony can do that just like JH can. Ones scheming and play calling is maybe 25% of what it takes to be a successful HC. I don’t even know what we’re arguing tbh lol

I will argue that Heupel's play calling and scheming this year has meant much much more than 25%.

The post I brought back from you is literally you saying you’d take Elliott and he’s running that offense and not Dabo.

You didn’t say anything in that post about running a program or anything else, just that Elliott runs the offense. And their offense now is garbage. That’s all.

I’ll give you the benefit of doubt tho and say you meant more than just what you said in your post.

IMO, the best series of the game was the field goal drive before the half.

Instead of running the clock out, Heupel was like...meh, 20 seconds, we can squeeze another score in.
I remember Dooley vs Mizzou literally sitting on the ball with close to two minutes left in the half and Bray behind center

I think he's done now. They lose to FSU, he's definitely done. That team looks like they've quit; he's lost the locker room, and the fans.
Simply amazing. From East champs to throwing a shoe to this.

I do agree FSU is make or break.

But I still think fans are dumb for not even giving a HC even a single down season. I hope UT fans remember this season if Hype ever has a major down year. They can happen to anyone (not named Saban). But I also hope they fire him tomorrow. Give me those Butch era UF teams all over again, Hype would slaughter them.
