If your friend is saying that, are we back to the how we practice is more important than winning games thing? Because, Dobbs...4th team as a freshman...did not practice well...amazing, unorthodox playmaker in college...in the NFL now...
Some people still doubt and dispute the existence of "Gamers"

Did that one 5 yard pass from the back up qb impress you? If Milton doesn’t improve then we will move on to Hooker…. I don’t think JH will put with poor QB play….. after re-watching the game…. I don’t think Milton played as poorly as I originally thought but he still has a lot to prove this Saturday.
He was great first quarter and horrible from there on out...he got away from what he was doing and for some reason couldn't go back. I get that maybe their defense adjusted to try and take away the kind of throws he was completing in the first, but then WHY could not adjust to exploiting the middle of the field opportunities that ensued? They were there, and they were apparent to literally everyone except Joe for some reason..is he that blind? It was really vexing to Heupel so it is not just nit-picking.

Them being veterans shouldn’t matter. The big time QBs separate themselves almost as soon as they step on campus. Just how it is. Not like he’s getting beat out by NFL QBs and waiting his turn
There are more examples of guys waiting behind non-NFL talent and becoming solid players than superstars who came in and started on day one.

I certainly hope that CJH isn't putting all of his chips in on getting day 1 starter and future first round pick in at QB, because it turns out there aren't too many of those guys. There is no reason HB can't be CJH's latest Dillon Gabriel or Makensie Milton.. Two guys who most likely will not be drafted. HB could very well take the starting spot away from Milton next year if you all would just give him two seconds to sit on the bench, learn, and actually grow into the role.

I like Milton and feel like he will play better this week. Game film should help a ton but I also think he will be on a shorter leash. If he doesn’t show progress I wouldnt be surprised if they make a change to see if we get a spark on offense. Sounds silly but I would have a 10 foot tall chain link fence in front of him to practice deep throws.

Most young'uns don't understand how important Majors was to the success of the 90s and early Aughts. He did the hard work of rebuilding the program from the ashes of the 70s...that era was almost as bad, just not as long as our current funk...thanks to him. It took him longer than people wanted, but he did it.

Thanks Coach Majors..I salute you..👏

True. People forget he is in essence a red shirt freshman. He missed all of spring 2020 camp due to the shut down and was out pretty much all of camp last fall due to Covid. After the season was lost he did get some live game action. And then had to start over with an entirely new staff and system. His time will come.
And he got better the more he played despite the bull💩 coaching, or rather lack of it..everyone just conventionally forgets that.

So tired of our fans can’t we just allow the coaches to do their job before we start turning on players in the FIRST game…
I didn't turn on anyone just speaking the truth. The other two didn't really get any playing time so technically Milton played worse...

Also we have been letting the coaches do their job for over 15 years now and here we are.

Grabbed this one the other week and wore it Thursday night for the game. It’s obviously lucky now and I can’t not wear it on game day.

You should be a hand model. Creamy and smooth..yet masculine.

You're opinion on this means nothing to me, you hated getting the kid from the beginning because you wanted a quick twitch dual threat guy. Peyton..you know..the at least second best QB of all time...didn't exactly separate himself from the pack either. I remember that clearly. If it was left up to your ideal QB he would have never stepped on the field.

I've heard VQ guys talking about the emphasis on getting push from the DL instead of shedding blocks which was the emphasis under Pruitt. That's probably a big part of that.
the very first snap of the game from scrimmage on defense Butler was about 3 yards in the backfield instantly. Loved it.
