Franks is terrible and the fact that you're defending him shows how ridiculous your take is.Franks started for multiple SEC teams and made the 53 man roster for the Falcons.
In a really simple version:
Outsides DBs play pressed MOD (Man out&deep). If their man goes inside, they zone off. the safeties are reading the inside WRs and/or QB depending on the call. But basically at its core Pitt plays it because it’s hard to throw screens against rolled up corners and it makes the routes you get predictable.

HB was not out of the two deep for the last staff considering he took over the starting role immediately after JG was benched. So you're wrong.Idc what his point was. My point was two different staffs with highly respected coaches both put HB outside the two deep. That’s a red flag no matter which way you look at it.
I actually agree with Rucker here. If Pitts DB's turn their backs on the QB, he should run for a lot of yards and 3rd down conversions.
I hope Milton is more decisive this week.

Joe Milton has first round measurables and won the starting job at Michigan and now at UT. So here is your argument turned on its head.

Secondly, he's a freaking covid freshman who just went through his first spring and fall camp. The other two guys have years of experience ahead of him starting at major programs. Your take that he sucks based on this is one of the most foolish takes I've read on here in a long time and that's saying something.
Milton started for MichiganI literally have only said factual statements.
Franks started for Florida.
Franks started for Arkansas.
Franks is on a NFL 53 man roster & 2nd string for the Falcons.
Bailey was the 3rd favorite QB for JP.
Bailey is the 3rd favorite QB for JH.
Just curious….. how do you think they have to adjust to our wide sets/ veer and shoot nature of our offense? In a really simple version:

Hooker wasn't on the roster though and Maurer couldn't stay healthy. So he was kind of second by defaultMilton started for Michigan
Milton started for Tennessee
Literally the same argument you're making for one of the worst QB's in the SEC over the last few years trying to defend your pitiful statement.
Bailey was right behind JG. How do I know that? Let's see, he started the last 4 games of the year.
Bailey is a covid freshman behind a grad transfer (If he is in fact behind Hooker) and a redshirt junior. Experience matters.
Dismissing him this early is just foolish. And that's enough. it's so foolish I'm not going to waste my time debating it anymore.
I agree…. No one should be dismissing him.Milton started for Michigan

The dystopian future of the Big 12 without OU and Texas was on display at the Texas Tech-Houston game this weekend:
@HankHill Pitts defense may be there to stop the screens etc, but how many people split receivers out as far as we do?
Especially with Miltons arm, seems like we could easily get some miss matches in the slot and it should keep DBs outside and allow our RBs to have a lot of space… right?
Maurer was not ahead of HB last year health or no health.Hooker wasn't on the roster though and Maurer couldn't stay healthy. So he was kind of second by default
Are you really trying to say Franks is one of the worst QBs in the sec over the last few years? Do you watch the games?Milton started for Michigan

Not really true that HB is the 3rd best QB we have. The coaches decided in the spring that he needed a development year-- which he didn't get last year. Salter would've had the same. Milton and Hooker are more experienced and have shown they can scramble behind an OL without much depth. If UT felt good about OL depth, Cade would be at G. Calbert's injury and no better option means UT is already at Plan B and got a glimpse of Plan C when Carvin shifted and Lane came in.
Milton was what he has been in practice-- strong arm, inconsistent, not always accurate, but showing flashes of what everyone hopes he can be. It wasn't the best-case scenario or the other QBs would have gotten more PT. But getting Milton comfortable and letting him work through some things in a game that was never in jeopardy should help going forward. All the QBs have plenty to work on to get them where UT needs them to be for SEC play.
Eh, I'll be surprised if he starts here besides everyone else getting injuredMaurer was not ahead of HB last year health or no health.
What difference does Hooker make? He said that HB has been third string for two staffs. That's factually inaccurate. He was the 2nd string halfway through the year in his first season without spring, without fall, missing 40 days of practice, and with Chris freaking Weinke coaching him. He started the last 4 games and was clearly the best QB on the roster last year.
He may be the third best on the roster right now. I don't know. I think he's better than Hooker. But even if he's third best right now, who freaking cares? It literally says nothing about his future where he is at this point in his career behind two veterans. I don't know if he's going to live up to that 5 star billing. But no one, not even all knowing hank hill, knows that he won't. We'll see. I hope he stays because under Heupel's coaching he could develop into something special.
