I think if he’s surrounded with an elite staff he’ll do good, but that’s the hard part. It’s so so hard to maintain an elite staff in CFB because they’re always accepting better jobs. And he’s not an established guy so it’s not like he can pull a Saban and replace Kiffin with Sark as his OC

That was one of pruitts many failures, he brought in a great staff and after they started accepting better jobs in year 2 it fell apart

They started accepting better jobs because they didn't want to work for him. He beat brow beat every staff member and blamed them for his faults.

I mean, beyond the tough schedule he's running away from, he's not wrong for disliking it. We're gutting our conference's identity for dollars and it's going to eventually backfire. Texas, TAMU, OU, and Mizzou don't belong in the Southeastern Conference. Even so, we survive with our identity intact with just TAMU and Mizzou but adding Texas and OU changes us fundamentally. We suddenly become the SWC.
