In a vacuum, I think Simpson is the answer, but I'm treating this as if it's taking place with our current class. Not sure Nolen getting the $1 mil as the top rated recruit in the country changes anything for the other recruits. If you give Simpson $1 mil, how does Tayven react to that?

Now that’s interesting. I thought there was no way Elliott would leave if Dabo was seriously entertaining moving to the NFL - he would have told him so and played the “name your successor” game. If UVA falls through, that might be legitimate smoke, though.

With what Josh Heupel has done in just one season with Hendo (and him most likely being back). I don't like the idea of potentially pissing off the highly rated top 15 QB that is on board with us already.

But maybe the level of competition Ty Simpson has faced is really top notch? I mean I'm not from that area so no clue. He's small though and doesn't have near the speed of Milton or Hendo who are both pretty big dudes.

But if we're just throwing a million at a top rated prospect I'd look at need and impact and I think you get yourself a NFL level pass rusher or LB that can really run the defense.

Dad was in the naval Air Force and eventually flew missions over China spotting Japanese troop movements. Wish he was still with us to talk about it. My wife just lost a wonderful uncle that was stationed there after PH and went on to serve on a ship during battles at Okinawa and other locations. He was recognized by Congress through Rep. Dana Harshbarger's efforts just a couple of weeks before he passed. He never harbored any resentment toward anybody, friend or foe.

My dad and my uncle just wouldn‘t talk about it except to each other, and then only about never wanting to go on a cruise because of how sick they got on the journey from here to Europe.

My Great Uncle was in the Baatan Death March. I hate to admit that I can't remember all of the specifics, but he was a POW for quite a while and eventually released. I got the love of history from my mom, and she did some audio interviews with him to preserve the stories before he died. I may just have to ask her about them.

If I had the money, I'd gladly offer 1-1.2 million to any QB I thought could be a difference maker. That's a steal if they hit.
