I tested positive Monday and fiance did today.
No taste or smell is weird. I'm having an increase in blood pressure (which I read isn't unusual).

I don't know much about their hiring process or AD. Phil Knight was really trying to keep Cristobal. Had a 10 year/$8.5 million deal on the table but Mario walked. I don't know if that's their budget going forward for the next hire, but that's what they're talking about over there.

With what Josh Heupel has done in just one season with Hendo (and him most likely being back). I don't like the idea of potentially pissing off the highly rated top 15 QB that is on board with us already.

But maybe the level of competition Ty Simpson has faced is really top notch? I mean I'm not from that area so no clue. He's small though and doesn't have near the speed of Milton or Hendo who are both pretty big dudes.

But if we're just throwing a million at a top rated prospect I'd look at need and impact and I think you get yourself a NFL level pass rusher or LB that can really run the defense.

Oh no you didn’t just reopen that can of worms regarding level of competition!!! E’erbody knows all Tennessee high school football is equivalent to flag football in Ga, Fla and Tx, and therefore none of the instate kids are worth pursuing when we can get all the quality players we want from these states.

If I had the money, I'd gladly offer 1-1.2 million to any QB I thought could be a difference maker. That's a steal if they hit.

I think I'd want some sort of % of NFL earnings to throw that kind of money at a HS kid.

We have a bad ass AD...I mean one of the most impressive guys I have EVER been around. He is getting this right I promise you that.

And another thing...this stuff about whales and authority to offer this and that to two whales is BS. DW has been given a damn centurion card to hire whoever he wishes at whatever cost he sees fit....i have said it 100 times but some folks just can’t understand. Money is not and will not be an issue moving forward with this program.

With our record no one is gonna simply just accept this as fact and you really shouldn't expect them to. When we start seeing proof THEN they'll accept it but not before.

But I was just pointing out Simone didn't pullout and not compete completely (which is unfortunately one narrative that got pushed). "She quit on her team and the US!!!" I mean it's unfortunate, and it was blown up into a seasonalized storyline by both sides of the line. What she was experiencing was labelled as a mental health thing when it's a common occurrence in gymnastics. She knew if she continued to compete at best she'd score badly which would drag the team scores down, and at worst she could have seriously injured herself.

Agree mostly but "what she was experiencing was labeled as a mental health thing" isn't entirely accurate. SHE labeled it that way and pushed the narrative that it was mental health because that's a protected issue. She didn't want the criticism of being mentally weak so she hid behind mental health, trivializing everyone who actually struggles with true mental health issues.

And there has to be a better athletic accomplishment than pulling yourself out of a competition. But you're right, her pulling out wasn't quitting and abandoning her country and team, she needed to be benched and only she could do it. The way she did it was cowardly, but she wasn't a quitter.

Thoughts on Simone Biles getting Time magazines “Athlete of the Year” precisely because she did pullout of her events in the Olympics.

For me, I never question what she had to do as an individual, but a) that doesn’t make her a hero, she’s just a person and people all have issues they must deal with and b) this is some sanctimonious crap from a media source. You’re telling me there’s not ONE athlete that deserves this award for an actual ATHLETIC feat?

Athletic awards are no longer about athletics. They’re about making a social statement.

Caleb Dressel won 5 GOLD medals in the Olympics this summer. 2 World Records and 2 Olympic Records. Biles should concede the Time Magazine honor incorrectly bestowed to her.
