Interesting behind-the-scenes about the bowls. LOL @ Minnesota.

Great news on no more opt-outs.

Also the bit about no transfers out (thus far) should be discussed and celebrated more. Particularly if Heupel and the gang talk Hooker and Tillman into sticking around. That's great roster management.

There's no way Cade sticks around. I wouldn't mind if he does, of course.
I think there is a way. He must’ve not received the projection he wanted for it to even be a topic of discussion.

The problem is we are over here trying to do this in the way NIL was intended to work, while everybody else sees it for what it really is...and opportunity to pay for play.

We have a huge loyal fanatic fanbase of common people, we have no rich bastards that give a 💩 and are willing to shell out the money it is going to take to sign elite players, so we may as well get used to this, oh and if you think this is bad, just wait till we have a sophomore or freshman go off for a great season and the big money players go after them and iffer huge money to cohe and plug whatever small hole they think they have.

It's going to remain a tough row to hoe for the Tennessee Volunteers, our staff is going to have to do it the hard way...it is what it is.

I agree with you, I don't know that pay-for-play for recruits was the intent.

Anybody can interpret and utilize NIL for whatever they want, especially now.

Given the state of our program and our struggles this generation, it is by all intents and purposes a tool that we can utilize to shrink the talent gap with our competition. For Tennessee it should be a loophole that wasn't there initially for us to get back to where we want to be.

People are actually surprised nothing happened? The only way you get in trouble is telling on yourself like our admin did

It honestly makes us look really dumb that we cooperated as much as we did. We should have given them the middle finger. NCAA will make an example of us because we gave them everything they need to turn the screws, meanwhile they'll continue giving schools like Auburn, Kansas, North Carolina, etc. a pass because they fought them.

The 'rich bastards' stopped giving a 'poop emoji' after the mid 2000's. They were shelling out tons of money in the 90's and beyond. I would bet that the big money backers would come back into the fold with UT if we had a consistently great product on the field.

One of our coaches needs to take Evans' phone, open a Cameo account, and set Evans at $100 to make 1-2 second videos saying "Go Vols." Then post the link out there and let us go crazy. He'll be a millionaire by Sunday.

If other fanbases get ahold of it he could probably have 2-5 mil to his name ("Hotty Toddy" or whatever they want him to say), then he can commit to us anyway.

If I were a blue chip I'd totally have a cameo doing that. Easiest way to make mega cash. Tweet: "Wow, [team] fans going crazy, gonna have to make 500 videos this afternoon. Where are the [other team] fans???"
Bijan Robinson has had one of these accounts since NIL became legal. Don’t know how much he’s made from it.

Truth be told all 99.99% of these players including 5 stars are not worth what they want to get from NIL and that’s a hard pill to swallow for them. The intention was to let them profit off themselves not get paid handouts from businesses.
The players wanting is not the problem, you can't blame them for wanting what they can get, the problem is the scumbags perverting this into pay for play.

There is no real way to stop it either now. Whatever puny reactionary roadblocks they throw up should be easily circumvented by anybody with a brain and a little more effort.

It'll balance itself out relatively soon imo. The only players making big $ will be established players eventually.

Yep. It’s all out there now and it’s not going to slow down.

I know it wasn't the intent, but it was always going to be the obvious outcome.

Being mediocre and getting crappy results isn't stopping A&M backers today, and it sure as hell didn't stop Bamas boys back in the mid aughts...they got sick of losing to us and doubled down, while ours took their bat and ball and went home like a bunch of wimps...It just means more to them.

Which I have been saying and gotten flamed for it. If you deny theres plausible deniability. If you go hey look at what I did they have no choice
