Every SEC board thinks he's theirs. This is going to be tough.

I saw a bunch of folks on the UGA boards thinking that, but I'm skeptical he'll end up at UGA. He seemed a little miffed when Georgia slow played him during his original recruitment, so maybe still feels that way.

Also, based on publicly available info I don't see RB as a portal need for UGA. To me, the portal should be used for positions where a team has a shortage of either talent, depth, or experience. As things stand right now none of those appear to be a problem. Bigsby is a good RB, but it's not a big enough need IMO.

I must say being in Nissan Stadium to watch old Urban look like a complete idiot with his play calling was awesome.

Trevor Lawrence has ZERO help and during TV timeouts the Jaguar players (despite being down) would be dancing to the stadium music...it was almost like watching a HS team at times.

Reading all y’all’s posts has me confused… the way I understand NIL is that it doesn’t come from the school. It comes from businesses.

Now maybe there’s collusion between coaching staffs and businesses. I think NCAA has a rule to prevent that. So, to circumvent the rule, some wealthy boosters are essentially setting up fake businesses to sign players to NIL deals.

You are(is) correct.

The only things a school can do in regards to NIL is offer advice, they are required to give money management/ finance lectures when going over NIL legislation with Student-Athletes, and when an NIL deal is agreed upon, the Student-Athlete is required to submit the details to the administration prior to agreeing/ receiving compensation to make sure that everything is kosher and that the deal is documented.

Did Jay Hardy try to do this same thing? The guy that didn't play a snap and is already in the transfer portal? Also wonder if UT is interested/willing to take Jay. RG recruited him to Auburn and now he's here and we were the long time favorite before he last minute changed his mind.

Wouldn't put it past him, but why? If and when folks found out, especially UT fans that may be holding out hope, I'd think it would be difficult for his parents to deal with that living in Knoxville...
