And the realization of the lack of return you received from the player after all you invested in them. Alot of what we're seeing is entitlement mentality on steroids'. Not for all kids, but definitely for some. Coaches jobs no are to also be psychologists to root cause these symptoms before they sign.I think that recruitment soured Garner on what it took to land some of these guys.
The only thing I can think of is Jimbo promised King he could have the starting spot back when he was healthy.
The way I’ve sort of envisioned this rise of the program through Heupel is how Barnes built the basketball program. Didn’t recruit at a top level in the early stages, but did coach and develop guys at a high level. After a couple years of that, he recruiting improved. Could be wishful thinking on my part. These were the following recruiting rankings for UCF within the AAC:
2016 (Frost)- 4th
2017 (Frost)- 1st
2018 (Heupel hired 2 months before)- 2nd
2019- (Heupel)- 1st
2020- (Heupel)- 7th but only signed 20 and had the 4th best average player rating; also one recruit from this class had almost 900 scrimmage yards this year and another was 2nd in tackles
In the AAC, there are only a few (or less) 4 stars signed altogether in the conference each year. So, it's about who can sign and develop the best 3 stars.
Heupel also took Daavid Wilson from UGA and Brandon Johnson from UT, both who were contributors on this year's team. Johnson led in scoring.
I am not worried yet because we know the ones coming will get developed. I am fairly certain that Clemson started its dominance with classes that were in the top 7.
You left out the obligatory Ole Miss mention.Haynes King already there coming back from injury, Conner Weigman in this year's class and Eli Stowers in last year's class....I'm guessing Zach realized Jimbo had some promises to keep up and he was likely out a job.
SMU, UTSA, or maybe even TCU could be great spots for Zach if he wants to stay in Texas. But he's original from Georgia so he may be interested in getting back closer to there.
So changing topics, pardon my ignorance on this, but what is our situation with TE's? I think you'd have to be stupid not to acknowledge GA's use of their TE in the game last week and how much of a weapon they can be if used properly...
I see Davis, but he need to put on some serious LB's... Any portal kids?
If he does I hope he doesnt go to UGA. Calzada is better then BennettHaynes King already there coming back from injury, Conner Weigman in this year's class and Eli Stowers in last year's class....I'm guessing Zach realized Jimbo had some promises to keep up and he was likely out a job.

Just saw that one ion the Funny Pics thread yesterday!!Just looked at the books on top 100 for libraries, and number 2 is: Hookers and Blow Save Christmas. Apparently it's supposed to be perfectly innocent for children but humorous for adults. It's about a tow truck and a snow blower. I don't know why, but I thought a bunch of you would get a kick out of this.
