Hey, Chatt.I think Bailey is the best Passer on our team. We saw him in the spring, saw him as a true freshman a little bit last year (without much practice), have been reminded a number of times he’s the 4th leading high school passer of all time for the state of Georgia while playing in the highest classification, won the state championship his senior year, won various rivals camp competitions leading to a 5-star rating, so what’s the problem?
Nick suggests he’s a bust in college.
I don’t think that but I think there’s got to be something going on. All I’ve ever heard is that Bailey is a hard worker.
I suspect that the reason could be that without Milton or Hooker we might not have a running game against a good defensive front. In week 1 we faced the worst rushing defense in all of college football last year. That wasn’t the case today.
Maybe Bailey can open up some running lanes by stretching the field vertically and unloading the box. I don’t know. I don’t expect Bailey is going to be able to carry the running game with his legs and right now that would be a problem.
The offense Heupel is running can work with either Milton or Hooker, theoretically. I don’t think it can work with Bailey, in the absence of a running game. Heupel will have to modify his approach to the game if Bailey is his QB, sort of like Mullen had to adjust from Franks to Trask, and even then we have no guarantees.

Can see why Coach was anxious to get Calloway back.
