I’ve been a bit surprised at the the reaction to this game in here. But I also thought Pitt was a bad matchup for us, so I guess I was surprised that we had to give them the game over and over again just to lose by a score.

I’m strangely more optimistic tonight than I was after the BG game.

Wait, you be in here for that long and your surprised about what is said in here? LOL

Just to emphasize... The state of our roster is not remotely as decimated as Arkansas last year. Not even close.

"5 years minimum" we'll be able to play with someone like Texas for four quarters though.

All I know is if we can't run the ball with our rbs we will lose almost every game left. OL must be better and Evans must stay healthy
Agreed, that’s why I think it should be Hooker going forward. He’s a much more dynamic runner than Milton and we can set the pass up via the run game. I was impressed with how CJH changed the offense once Milton went out.

I was rooting for UT today because I'm one of those who root for the SEC almost always, even Florida and Auburn. It's the best place to watch college football every Saturday of the fall season. I know you guys are down right now, but don't get too introspective. There have been a lot of gritty SEC performances today, including your own team, and are still some good games being played. Kentucky and Mizzou are battling it out, MSU and Arky are more than holding their own, which is a surprise to me.

If you're a fan of "the game", there is always some good action in the SEC to enjoy while waiting for your team to rise again. I know for a fact it's possible to do that.

What was the injury to Milton? I watched on no volume a drill and never heard.

That's the way I see it with Evans back. Make it a Titans style run oriented scheme with play action passing.

Watch the line judge on this. He backs up instead of sliding forward. Terrible officiating. No way to see the spot of the ball.

The line judge on the other side actually kept the spot and they used his mark to place the ball. Pretty common.

But he was off by a half yard.

I fully believe if they reviewed it, they would have gotten the first down

Here’s what I’m sick of. Constantly having a multi-year rebuild because we keep firing coaches and hiring new coaches with polar opposite schemes/philosophies than the last guy. So every coach automatically comes in and has players who doesn’t fit what they want to do so we have to have yet ANOTHER rebuild. The next time we hire someone, and I honestly hope that’s a long time from now, can we please stop hiring polar opposite head coaches. Because recruiting struggles and kids transfer out which kills our depth and makes us lose games like this which we could have won.

And for f*cks sake, someone tell Heup that we HAVE to blow out the Bowling Greens and Tennessee Techs and the cupcakes so we can play the young kids and get them experience instead of playing teams led by WR’s for a QB and playing our starters for the whole game. That crap is the reason we don’t have quality depth

The problem has not been firing coaches. For each of the last 5 UT coaches, their termination was merited. It’s the hiring part where the UT decision makers have $&¡7 the bed since ‘09. Best hope is that we finally got a guy in White capable of making the right hire. It is too early to know for sure.
