3 dumb*** calls from a 10 win season in Y1 anf people are for real complaining. And this isn't even the FF.

All they see is that L...context means nothing to them because they are the absolute dregs of our fanbase.

We have the best fanbase in CFB..
We have the worst fanbase in CFB...

Both statements are truth.

He and Turnage both being out was the straw that broke our already weak defenses back. Knowing how much Alontae loves his team, you have to think he regrets not being there for them for the rest of his days...especially if his pro career never goes anywhere.

On the other hand, I think they deliberately picked on #4 last night on third down, so it may not have mattered as much, but I think he would have been good for at least one extra stop...and that would have been enough to be the difference.

Don't be a fool. Alontae has no regrets.

We probably have a different view of “Chavisesque”, but that wouldn’t have been it out there yesterday. Chavis put some of the best defenses this school has ever seen on the field.
With the talent he had to work with...he should have put the some of the best defenses in the history of CFB out there.

He sucked at scheme...Spurrier schemed circles around him.

I'm not questioning the coaching, but I agree with the guy that we weren't getting good push much of the game. Our guys need to hit that weight room hard and stop getting pushed around by the opposing OL.
I think that is lack of talent...not coaching. You can improve technique a lot, and explosion a little, but you can't make guys quick twitch who just aren't.

I wonder if our players talk to friends at other schools and try to get them to transfer here? I'm convinced that was happening last year when we lost so many, especially to Oklahoma. If other schools can do it, I'm all for us doing it too. If any of our guys are good friends with good players on other teams, they need to be wearing out their phones to get them here, lol.

Who do we have from the last 2 classes that either red shirted or just didn't play because they just aren't ready, that we expect to step up. Every year there are kids we are all excited about signing then the disappear for a year or two.

It’s past time for major athletics to hire full time officials. Pay them, train them, and hold them publicly accountable just like everyone else. With the rise in sports gambling the stakes are even higher. You have to do this to keep the games fair and being able to recruit new officials or all levels of the sport will suffer. There is plenty of money to get it done.
Plan B.

Get sensor/AI based refs asap.

Full time refs don't fix the problem - which is that humans are not suited for this kind of work. Never have, never will be. Not at the low levels, not at the highest. Ask those Saints fans 😅

I love me some Josh Heupel after being very "meh" about the initial hire, but one thing which does concern me is can we keep this level of offensive performance up? We all know what needs to be done on defense -- we need the guys. We don't have them yet. But I worry about Heupel suffering from the same thing which got Chip Kelly and Gus, which is that eventually people figure your scheme out and make it a lot harder on you.

This coming season, if we are going to continue to rise, we need to keep South Carolina and Mizzou in the rearview mirror. Kentucky will be a battle again. We need to show something more against Florida. We haven't gotten closer than 12 points since 2017. I still think when it all shakes out we probably win 7 again. I hope I'm wrong -- I was certainly wrong about how this year would go.
