I am in the minority, but I wasn’t impressed with Hooker. He did some things well. I think if the coaches go into a game week with him as QB1 the play calling will be better for him.

I don’t think he is any better than an Emory Jones - great athlete, good runner, good read option, sub par arm at best.

Might want to check your facts….. he won 9 one time….. the other three seasons he finished 3rd in his division. Which is bad for the big 12…. I do agree we should give coaches more opportunity but apparently Herman wasn’t well liked by anyone.

No I wouldn’t. I’ve played sports all my life and through college. Some players are better in games than practice. When a player isn’t getting it done, you bench them and if the next guy is better, you don’t look back. Play the best who perform in games. Practice means s*** if you can’t bring it on game day. I guess you wouldn’t have played Allen Iverson.

If you throw an interception and see a block in the back, just run over and kick the opposing Coach in the fruit basket so it offsets and you get a do over.

Ya, i really don’t understand that. That can’t be right. And if it is, then they need to fix it.

Hendon has some good stats in the past and then some really bad ones…..he had two good throws done the middle that I remember….. most of the rest were near the line of scrimmage that was good catch and runs by the receivers…. I felt it was a decent performance.

His designed runs were good. I don't trust him throwing anything beyond 7 yards. That INT was dreadful

9ish. 10 here, 8 there, 7 in a 10-game season. 9-ish.

How quick do you bench someone? Bad series…. Bad game…. Rotate every play….. I have played and coached sports my entire life….. it’s extremely hard for me to have faith in a guy that can’t get it done in practice. I would have given him this shot today and have no problem going to hooker until he struggles…. Keep working Milton in practice bc he has the most upside.

Yep but nobody knows that going in….. Joe should have been 8-12 for over 100 yds and 1 td plus 54 yds rushing if Hyatt hadn’t dropped the easy TD so he wasn’t all bad…. Hooker earned the start next week, imo but I have my doubts bc even though he had good stats he seemed a little shaken when trying to throw down the field.

Hooker definitely has some limitations in the passing game Heupel would have to work around, but after seeing how erratic Milton is, I'd probably start Hooker next week and go from there.

The reaction is kinda crazy when most non-Vol fans predicted we would lose this game. Everyone predicted us to go between 5-7 and 7-5. 7-5 looks very unlikely now, but 6-6 is still on the table. I would much rather watch what I did today than what I watched the past 3 years. The team played extremely hard and is very likable. Disappointed, but such is life as a Vol fan. The reality is, despite sunshine pumpers trying to manifest it, we were never going to be good this year.
