He battled injuries his Soph year. His freshman year I believe he played every position on the O Line which allowed him to play more as a true freshman than typical due to injuries of others. He is still playing out of position so to speak as he really projects as a guard in the NFL. If he wasn’t injured this year I think his draft projection would be higher solely due to his ability to play multiple positions fairly well which is rare…I thought he played fewer games his second season but as I edited in my prior post I'm not the most in tune with what happened in Georgia.
He had started 11 of 14 at all 5 positions that year and they lost 3 starters the year Cade transferred, he was in line to be a starter at one of the tackle spots. They definitely didn’t wanna lose himIt sure looked that way to me, granted I'm not the most in tune with what happened there with him though.
I knew he was a gaurd out of position. I didn't know about his injuries in year two a Georgia though. He battled injuries his Soph year. Prayers and best wishes sent.Guns down guys..please pray for my sister-in-law, her oxygen is staying in mid eighties and she is horrible health.
He has a lot of thinking to do. Injuries would make him lean towards leaving as further injuries next year would give teams pause but likely mid round draft grade could make him leave also. He has played in a power run scheme and zone blocking team which means he is flexible to multiple styles of offense. Frankly I think he could possibly improve his draft grade to 1st round if moved to guard and if he remains healthy and it’s a big difference in $ and tenure. Not sure if UT will promise him that move but that may be a discussion they have in the next few days… If he leaves I think he slips to later rounds like Trey Smith did…I knew he was a gaurd out of position. You think he comes back or is he done?
Half the Big 10 is butter like Vandy… I have a friend that roots for Michigan State and thinks they are all world but if you look they played a weak PSU team, we’re lasted by an average for OSU team and we’re gifted the Michigan game. They also lost fairly badly to Purdue (worse than the score would indicate). The rest of their games were butter…Michigans All World DE hasnt done a thing tonight playing an SEC school. Almost like he padded stats against slaw Little10 teams.
I'm not even talking about our game. Just college football in general. Missouri for example was playing their 3rd string qb. The opt outs have made bowl season almost unwatchable.Purdue had plenty of those....the sec is bad this year, but pate is right, we do tend to get matched against much higher seeded teams in bowl games.
