Well.. Another year, another example of nobody being able to simulate SEC speed..

If it isn’t Oklahoma, Ohio State, or Clemson (all on good years), it really seems like no team has any chance in the playoffs against SEC teams.

Two days ago, I thought 2021 hadn't been as bad as 2020. Apparently, 2021 saw that as a challenge and said, "hold my beer". These last three days have been crap.

I'm not even talking about our game. Just college football in general. Missouri for example was playing their 3rd string qb. The opt outs have made bowl season almost unwatchable.

These games tonight are unwatchable too, are they not?

I sincerely question whether Heupel is the guy - whether his schemes will work in the sec, long run.

I don’t want to be a Debbie downer but all we really did this year was catch a lot of people off guard and beat up on bad teams.

I’m far less optimistic about year two today than I was just a few days ago.

Well, I’m not but you have always seemed to be a can’t do kind of guy.

Man, imagine how good we’ll be if Heupel can get talent like Georgia & Bama have.

Most plays it’s legit just them winning their matchup. Blocking, route running, etc. nothing creative or special at all, just talent executing at a high level.

I think we’re watching the same championship game next year. Clemson lost so much to the portal this year and didn’t have a stellar recruiting class. tOSU is losing a lot as well and I think we start to see Ryan Day slowly lose what Urban built or built upon. So much turmoil and coaching changes elsewhere as well…

He has a lot of thinking to do. Injuries would make him lean towards leaving as further injuries next year would give teams pause but likely mid round draft grade could make him leave also. He has played in a power run scheme and zone blocking team which means he is flexible to multiple styles of offense. Frankly I think he could possibly improve his draft grade to 1st round if moved to guard and if he remains healthy and it’s a big difference in $ and tenure. Not sure if UT will promise him that move but that may be a discussion they have in the next few days… If he leaves I think he slips to later rounds like Trey Smith did…

Yeah, this is what I gathered. In the end I think he has too much to lose staying and I don't believe Huepel will guarantee any offered spot for him. It's just not the way he seems to operate which I like. But if he thinks the UF transfer will work I could see him making that promise with a caveat or two.

No we need an expanded playoff so they can have their chance.

UGA and Bama triple up talent on everybody...even in the SEC. The only teams that can match them in talent are OSU and maybe Clemson.

I don't disagree. I've wanted an expanded playoff.

And we need to stop worrying about other programs and work on getting our affairs in order. A consistent 9-win team is nothing to scoff at in the league we compete in.

If A&M beats Saban two years in a row, I bet they'll get probation. That's what really happened to Freeze, right? Beat Saban twice. Banned. I know they told the little people it was about hoes.
