Knoxville needs to find a way to tap into Nashville money. If they can we can compete. It's that simple.Because we don't have the boosters to put $10m into NIL deals. It's that simple. We've got a great fan base but so does a lot of schools. A great fan base doesn't necessarily equate to huge NIL deals.
Money isn't earmarked for sports anymore. We squandered that years ago. We have to tap into a new well. Nashville is it. It's on the come up, money to be made and spent everywhere. If you don't figure out a way someone else will.I had a conversation with a local media member back in the spring. It was eye opening. We really don't have a super booster any longer.
Nah, ROI has zero to do with it with these huge boosters. You said it earlier, this is bringing what's been done under the table to the light of day but just magnified by 10-20. Look at A&M this year. They bought a great class.Right now maybe, but businessesmen with a lot of money are smart if they don't get the ROI they expect the money will slow down.
And those with the head start are still ahead. The solution is Nashville. Just look at the skyline there. Not even recognizable from a few years ago. If we aren't tapping in someone else will. Danny White is smart, I just hope he's already on it.Right now maybe, but businessesmen with a lot of money are smart if they don't get the ROI they expect the money will slow down.
Oh I agree. Two types of NIL. Legitimate ROI businesses that will want to capitalize on fame of a UT football player. Then you have the NIL deal simply to purchase said player with no expectations of ROI. Probably will never even hear about them. Perfectly legal. That's where we lack resources.Money isn't earmarked for sports anymore. We squandered that years ago. We have to tap into a new well. Nashville is it. It's on the come up, money to be made and spent everywhere. If you don't figure out a way someone else will.
A lot of Nashvillians are transplants now a days. I'm not sure there's much TN love down thereAnd those with the head start are still ahead. The solution is Nashville. Just look at the skyline there.
