A bunch tried to tell us this was going to be good for college football, and if we didn’t think so we just didn’t want players to get what they deserve. Really wanted Tennessee to make a comeback before it all fell to pieces. You don't see how Georgia and Alabama openly paying the best CURRENT CFB players is a bad thing?
We were 117th in first downs allowed
We were 120th in red zone defense
We were 122nd in passing yards allowed
We were 60 (woo hoo) in rushing defense
We were tied for 32nd about 10 other teams for interceptions.
We were 103 in 3rd down defense
We were tied for 54th in 4th down stops
We were tied for 42nd in sacks
We were tied for 103 in recovered fumbles
We were tied for 90th in scoring defense
We were tied 98th for total defense
I didn't see the stat for TFL but it sounds like we were good there so we've got that going for us.
We literally sucked at every meaningful defensive category that I could find. We couldn't stop the run. We couldn't stop the pass. We couldnt sack the QB. We couldn't get off the field on 3rd down or 4th down. I can't believe the excuses that you guys have for Banks. It as Sunseri level bad. Vandy was statistically better, significantly, on many of these stats.
I'm not calling for the guy to be fired but tied ignore how pathetic this defense was is burying your head in the sand.
So you think those numbers gonna win us a bunch of games? They are pathetic.
From this year’s defense, Taylor, Jackson, Butler (I hope) may get a shot. Too soon to tell but possible for a couple of others who are underclassmen. The point is, they represent a defense that wasn't nearly as bad as people like to pretend, despite having very littleb overall talent. How many defensive players did we play this year that seem particularly likely to play on Sundays in the dining years? Maybe 2-3 at most?
Not sure if Dean Straka or the editor should be fired for this article. This is atrocious. I've seen better writing from this forum than this article:

The kind of good money I'm talking about. Won't be used for NIL. I'm talking about profit for the school through TV money, profit sharing etc..... while nobody can do anything about boosters tied to the school, schools that get caught directly paying kids will probably pay a huge priceIf good money is coming in NIL won't be a problem. If he's just protecting the status quo then he must go. Simple as that.
My issue is with the D conversation, everyone blames it on Banks but it seems as if the position coaches never catch fault. No1 faults Martinez for the lack of play by the DBs, Ek for the LBs. In my opinion, I believe all the coaches on both sides of the ball did a tremendous jobs with the cards they were dealt
Dunno man, seems fair to blame Huepel for Pruitt being a complete and utter failure, in every single aspect of football - from top to bottom. Not to mention a cheater, that's also fair to blame Josh.Let’s blame it on coaches that didn’t recruit a single player on the field and lost 33 scholarship players to transfer portal.
How do you guys not realize when the 1st team comes out to rest or has to play tired there’s a huge drop off. We have to have depth to rotate and stay fresh. It isn’t a single coaches fault that’s is here now who has anything to do with that.
World needs more like you! Good job..As I sit here quarantined I have to tell you all a story. I got a call from an officer I had worked with a year prior on an animal neglect case about a week ago for an emergency rescue of a dog that was the sole survivor of a domestic murder/suicide and was completely shut down. He asked if I could take her at the request of the victims immediate family he told them he knew a good place for her that would give her every chance. They didn't feel it right to take her to the pound. She's a mastiff pit mix. I've kept her away from our other animals in the back bedroom I quarantined in earlier this week.
I've had concerns about her, she did not eat for two days. Very standoffish. And she wanted nothing to do with me until this afternoon. I came back into the room with a small silkie rooster that the flock had turned on to get a flashlight to assess his injuries. When I walked into the room she immediately came to my feet, never done that before in the last week. I thought no, this isn't a snack but something told me there was more to her interest.
Over the last few hours she sat next to me as I treated him put him in a carrier. She has not left his side since I brought him in. I've taken him out a time or two to gauge his level of shock, each time she has nuzzled him and shown interest and looks at me as I help him. She now let's me pet her and interact with no suspicion what so ever.
She has a long way to go and I never considered keeping her but if she shows this much compassion to a chicken maybe she could live on the farm with us, we will see. A lot of hurdles to cross but she's a different animal tonight I even brought an old blind cat we took in into the room and she's wonderful with her.
I can't imagine her suffering, watching the people she trusted and depended on kill and then take their own lives. I can't imagine her pain, nor her compassion for an animal that maybe she felt needed help like her. I refuse to be ashamed of the fact that as I type this tears roll down my face. I can't understand how anyone could mistreat animals, I wish those who do a special place in hell.
I ask all of you to support your local rescues, any resource you provide saves and changes lives!
