Which is why I hate the portal. Is free agency now. The days of seeing a FR come in and grow are over. 4 year guys who fans fall in love with will be almost unheard of now.

It can. And we have as good or better boosters as others. We wouldn't pull in the money we do without boosters.

I dont know if we lack the money or our boosters are just unwilling. But you need an admin that's willing to play dirty, that's the part I'm not sure we have

Has nothing to do with love, everything to do with branding. Volunteers own the state, work Nashville and the money there and you can compete nationally. The music industry alone makes you a contender. While full of transplants the movers and shakers know who moves the needle.

Only because they've lacked the level of promise, change the narrative and the money in Tennessee rivals that of GA. This is where Danny White comes into play if he's as smart as I think he is.

We have huge boosters. They're out. Haslams are no longer active in UT athletics. Ergan never has been. We have a few more but they're not as involved. Then you have the issues of boosters that are counted on for donations to capital projects. Do you ask them for more in the form of NIL deals? Yeah, playing dirty isn't in the play book.

I like Danny but I can tell you the UT AD was ill prepared for what NIL was going to morph into. They were way behind the 8 ball.

I dont think they do, how they handled Pruitts firing told me all I needed to know. Add in some other things they've done and its not that hard to see. As long as the gravy train keeps rolling TN isn't going to kill status quo

I won't disagree here but surely he sees where it leads now and what it means for football. He's a savvy guy.

He also knows not to upset the powers that be. Sankey has what he wants in 2 horses to keep that playoff money rolling in. He's not gonna let that change

Then he needs to be gone. I won't support any puppet of the SEC represent UT or get out the way.

Do what's best for the University or be gone. If that means UT leaving the conference so be it. If the SEC wants to prop up one or two universities let them. We don't have to play along, we would be welcomed by any conference we lobbied.

I'll say this as well. If you don't believe NIL is am issue just look at basketball. There were several highly ranked guys that Barnes was in on that ended up going elsewhere including a guard out of TX who's dad was a friend of Barnes that ended up at Kentucky. NIL was rumored to be the reason why

I don’t know if they’ll ever be able to truly regulate it imo . One poster said cap space, buy every player at the same amount. If there’s not an equal playing field for every school it will be more of the same. I think Pandora’s box has been opened
