Whether or not we step up to compete with the likes of Georgia and Bama, we can still enjoy our football. I really enjoyed this season and I'm looking forward to next season. Maybe we can't afford the top players, but that doesn't mean we won't get good players. And maybe we can pull off the occasional upset of a Bama or a Georgia.

Would have liked being a fly on the wall in this last recruiting cycle of our top 5 signees as these coaches talked with players and families. Call me naive with todays generation but I am not of the opinion that NIL was the major talking point. I feel this staff sold UT to them and their family members of what they can offer as a student athlete and what they can do to get them to the next level where money would then be a big factor.
This staff appears, when seeing quoted remarks from players, are looking just as hard for character players as they are game changers.

Did anyone really expect the NIL to work the way it was naively meant to. It was ripe for misuse from the get go. We have a lot of smart fans and sports folks but companies and people that look for ways to abuse and or use the NIL to their advantage have a lot of smart lawyers. It's America, we are unable to just enjoy something as of late, we need to find a way to make the basic stuff difficult.

🦬💩 excuse...Bamas guys doubled down, UGAs guys doubled down, A&M is doubling down, I expect to see USC doubling down...Hell Kentucky's folks are even trying to go all in...

Our guys?...took their bat and ball and went home...they all f'n suck..."It just means more" to Bamas money people.

If I win the lottery...I promise you we will have at least one great class.

I just don't get this "we don't have the money uga has" talk. If our AD can't find a way to match the NIL money UGA has, then we need a new AD. I know NIL doesn't come from the school, but he has the money connections and he needs to be encouraging them to get players. That's how it is now. Adapt. We don't need stadium renovations money as much as we need NIL money. I think White will be smart enough to figure that out. The money UT is capable of pulling in is equal or greater than uga. If we aren't able to afford the best players now that we don't have to do it in a dirty way like UGA was doing, then our admin isn't very good.

I told everybody as soon as it was implemented what would happen..there are ton of gullible people that don't think deviously like I guess I do.

I just know how they think, because I ask myself what would I do with NIL and one time transfers if I was a bent booster or over a group of them. There were almost no real rules implemented, and thus no way to keep this from happening. It is a license to legally buy players and I said so from the beginning.

Ask Atl about UGAs guys and what they were willing to do. Ours are not.

You'd think that on the surface but it's a different dynamic in GA than Tennessee. You go to the west part if the state and you see as many OM, MSST, Memphis, AR fans as you do TN. Mid state is the same with more AL. You go to about anywhere in GA and it's overwhelmingly red. Some of it is a product of the state of our program over the last 12 years, some of it is the influx of new people moving to the mid state. Much more money flowing in the GA program.

I agree. It still remains to be seen how and who will benefit in the end the most. I know everybody has a right to make a living and all but how many "handlers" and "Coaches" will benefit from their guidance on what is best for the player / friend / cousin / client / protege'/ meal ticket. That shady stuff is what will carry the day for way to many and the ones that have the most to lose will do just that .....lose. Hey, but that is what so many wanted, well now you've got it. Enjoy.
