You'd think that on the surface but it's a different dynamic in GA than Tennessee. You go to the west part if the state and you see as many OM, MSST, Memphis, AR fans as you do TN. Mid state is the same with more AL. You go to about anywhere in GA and it's overwhelmingly red. Some of it is a product of the state of our program over the last 12 years, some of it is the influx of new people moving to the mid state. Much more money flowing in the GA program.
I feel like I've seen the numbers recently, and Tennessee from a revenue and donations perspective has still been top ten most years even with our 15 years of sucking.

I'm not sure what your point is. Are you saying our LBs and DBs are fast enough? Or that you know a scheme that allows for slow defensive players?

I think the problem is that people cant seem to grasp that two different realities can both be true. It can be true that Banks inherited a back 7 with not a lot of talent and depth AND that he struggled to make adjustments on QB draws and 3rd downs. Just like it can be true that our OL wasn't a world beater unit AND Huepels play calling in critical short yardage situations was atrocious. Both can be true.

You have to remember that this administration see us happy about a 7-5 season and stupidly thinks that we'll be happy if 7-5 constantly happens. So with that train of thought there's no way the administration will try and get our players million dollar deals

I don't think there's any evidence that white is stupid enough to think we'll always be happy with 7 wins.

Under Armour All-American Game on ESPN. Walter Nolen being talked up.

That one still stings the most.

Absolutely awful. Why I kept saying UK got the #1 bowl pick in the country. Iowa appeared as a ranked, good team when the truth couldn't be further. I had to lay the hammer down on UK ML.
I knew Purdue was a bad draw for us, but I still thought we would win, but that was contingent on it being an even playing field, which it most certainly was not.

Where does this getting ****** over end for us, and why does it seem to only happen to us over and over and over again...year after year after year?

It makes you think that there has to be a concerted effort to keep us down.

How do you feel about "unofficial" and "off the books" money? That is where the cheating and gaming the new system is coming from.

Yes, I even hope he may be the best we've had since at the very least whoever preceded Dickey (don't know the prior history). But I think Rish means the people over DW. The administration vs the athletic department. The "administration administration."

I can't claim to know, but the administration absolutely runs the risk of looking like they want to be the Washington Generals. This is not a problem for the administration. Why? The Washington Generals always make bank. It is a problem for us. The Washington Generals have no fans.

I had a friend of mine at church this morning who is a Bama fan but told me we got ripped on that call. But what he said and I wish I could remember and will ask him again, that some sport media dug into the officiating crew that called our game and found out that Purdue had given the head ref's grandson son a scholarship. You guys know that I don't usually post stuff like this but I will try and find out who that was that found that out.

Wow..

There is no chance that Danny White left a comfy job where his bosses are dying to win at football to take a job where they aren't. I am not even sure where the idea comes from that our admin is not fully invested in winning. I thought that them hiring DW was a clear sign that they are serious about turning things around. Almost every sport is doing well now and there is absolutely no reason to believe that DW doesn't have the full support to keep it that way.

It's easy to forget how screwed up things have been in the AD since Mike Hamilton. It has not just been a culture problem within football, but the entire AD has been disjointed and needs to be rebuilt. That won't happen overnight. Just consider that in the house cleaning, we got rid of almost all of our back office staff. Almost all of the recruiting staff had to be replaced. All of the relationships with boosters have to be repaired (some of which will take a long, long time).

Despite all of that, consider that at one point we had something like seven private jets in the air for recruiting. Imagine how hard that would be without exceptional support from the top down.

There is just no reason to think that the admin is going to be happy with 7 wins every year.

The head ref was Jerry Magallanes. He's 58 I think is hard to believe he would have a college-age grandchild.

More on him anyway:
