Texas making a move to the SEC has lit a huge fire under A&M's ass. They see the writing on the wall unless they get way ahead of Texas and can be THE Texas program of the SEC.

We are going to see the real hate between those programs that everyone always talks about.

This was his apex. He just restructured his contract for a lot less too. He might just be tired of the college coaching lifestyle, especially with less money, and feel like he's handing it off better than he inherited it

Honestly I'm a bit surprised we're not more attractive to defensive players.

More plays on the field should be a positive. If you're a NFL talent you'll have insane numbers from being on the field more and making plays.

That should be our selling point. A chance to rack up volume stats (don't say it that way though lol) and experience.

I have a feeling that UT knows super seniors will not count against the 85 next year. I realize this doesn't match what the NCAA previously communicated, but it seems like there are too many players returning for us to have already taken 21 and be looking at 5-8 more between late signing and transfers.

Not saying it will happen but Dolphins owner is a Michigan grad and almost hired Harbaugh twice. With the below performance expectations of the team, and coaches, I wouldn’t be shocked to see them make a move.

Not a lot. It went from worshipping him, to questioning him, to resenting him, to appreciating him. He would leave with a lot of respect.

Wait till these kids find out they have to pay taxes on their NIL deals. IRS is going to be watching all of this very closely.

Meh, this is all a DROP in the bucket compared to the absurd amount of evasion occcurring from small business (those s-corp folks especially...) and crypto these days...as it pertains to IRS attention.

Fwiw all of these guys will receive a 1099 from the payor (over $600 deals) and those businesses send those directly to the IRS. It's pretty straightforward for the IRS, unlike small business tax evasion and crypto cap gains.

Also glad UT has courses for this. Pretty straightforward - take 15+% depending on your income and send in your quarterly taxes according to a very specific schedule. It couldn't be easier.
