Expand on this if you would.

True 2 gap defense up front. Base out of odd front and try to hold gaps and spill the ball outside. play a lot of quarters.

TN on the other hand are more 1 gap even front and try to force TFLs by getting penetration. We also play a lot of spot drop and fire zone.

Very basic explanation though.

So many players in the portal I would love to have. No idea of who we're actually chasing other than Verse and Neyor.

Not saying it will happen but Dolphins owner is a Michigan grad and almost hired Harbaugh twice. With the below performance expectations of the team, and coaches, I wouldn’t be shocked to see them make a move.

edit: saw the other report where it would be to the Raiders.

Flores isn’t going anywhere… yet. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Grier get the ax though. His 2020 draft class where we had 3 first rounders has been a really bad miss.

Bud Elliott was hinting at the possibility of more roster changes/rules considering we'll have these Covid "super senior" impacts through 2024.
That should have been very obvious from the start. Sorta insane it was't addressed from the get.

I thought, at a minimum, a step-down approach would help. Give each team, say, 10 super seniors this year...then 5 the next...then back to normal. Otherwise coaches are having to either push kids out or limit scholarships to deserving HS kids.

That said, no changes at this point could be to our advantage. Most schools have to be in much worse shape than us.

Coaching changes can absolutely gut your roster, like is happening to OU. Unfortunately not a single SEC coach is on the hot seat for next year. Maaaybe Harsin.

Regardless, maybe our long play should be to just wait everyone out. Let them eventually fire their guy in 3, 5, 15 years and we just keep holding on and moving up the rungs 😆

Losing Day wouldn't actually hurt Ohio State. They'd just scoop up Luke Fickell.
Maybe not in the long term but they would lose some key players to the portal in the process. Change is good for others when teams at the top go they it. No guarantee Fickel can handle the pressure at his alma mater either. I think he can but it’s no guarantee. It’s a different element coaching your alma mater. Doesn’t always end well…
