Enjoyed the time, buddy! Billy was so intense! What a nice guy! For all those here, he talked football with us and what’s happening with the program. He said our WR group is what is hurting us especially with Milton’s overthrows. He said it’s all based on timing. They get that timing down in practice. Joe is expecting them to be at a certain spot when he throws it and the WRs aren’t getting to that spot. Just thought I would throw that out there. I’m sure some of it is Joe’s fault but gives a little perspective from a man who has played against the best and sat down with Peyton to break down film numerous times.

One last thing he said…said this is first time that most of these players have received real SEC level coaching. He basically said they have not received college level coaching for all 3 years Pruitt was here. So maybe that takes some of you off the ledge after the loss yesterday. We fought our tails off and didn’t quit. I like to see that a lot! I think we will get better and better as the season goes along and we continue to get more coaching.

And Alexis Hornbuckle is awesome! Such a sweet lady. She sat and talked with us for quite a while and took pics with us. She was hired by Billy to run the restaurant because of why? For all the attributes that Coach Pat Summitt instilled in her over the 4 years she played for her. Pat knew she was preparing these ladies for real life off the court, and she did that for so long. That’s just another reason she’s a legend.

My daughter was coached/trained by Alexis Hornbuckle for years in basketball.

- The Pride of the Southland barely exists now during the game. We see them in pregame and at halftime, but during the game they are basically relegated to just being fans sitting in uniforms holding instruments. We play awful music over the loudspeakers the whole game. Most of the pomp and pageantry that make the live game experience so fun have been put on the back burner, and in their stead, we get DJs and blurry sounding hip hop music over a sound system that isn’t capable of playing it in a clean sounding way.

I was at a healthy 6-6 until yesterday. I'm now firmly at 5-7. Unless we can find a QB who can play the position I just don't see us going bowling.

We did score 34 points against a defense that had only given up that many 1 time in the past two seasons.

So clearly the team & coaches have plenty to work on. I was encouraged by lots and disgusted by plenty more. I think this is the new normal. One part overjoyed, one part fury.

It'll be fun to watch. And I'm sure we'll throw a shoe or two. Perfect moment to work on finding the bright spots. Or to keep taking your heart medication.

It was a throw away, I remember the play and being relieved we didn't try to force that one.

They made those changes to get butts in seats. That's it, no other reason. It adds shite to the game and the only ones who enjoy it are the students

Some people in this fanbase ridiculous I see based on posts. If you watched yesterday and think it’s hopeless and this staff sucks then I don’t know what to tell you. I was at the game and had a blast regardless of the loss because it was a good fun game back and forth between two teams. This is Narduzzi year 7 team with a 4 yr starting qb that is projected to be mid round nfl draft pick. We were down our best RB, starting center, and best pass rusher to start the game. We lost our starting WR on first offensive play. We lost our starting QB. We lost our starting RB. Yet we still have ball at midfield with chance to tie game on final possession and throw a pick with backup qb. Not too mention drive before that refs screwed us from tying the game with a horrible 3rd down spot on Hookers run. First down there and then we easily tie the game.

Injuries, turnovers, penalties and horrendous officiating lost that game not coaching or effort. That game was going to be close before you lost all those players. Pitt was favored by Vegas before all that news. Just because you think Pitt sucks because your lack of research doesn’t mean they really do. Penalties really started getting bad once Milton was out. I get he overthrows WRs and it’s frustrating but he also runs the offense efficiently otherwise and you didn’t have all the presnap penalties like you saw a few times with Hooker. There were some post snap ones but the presnap ones happened with the backup. Still we scored on nearly every drive except for one 3 and out we stopped ourselves with a turnover on downs and 3 t urnovers. If anything that shows me this system can work to do that versus a defensive guru who has played your system 3 times in 4 years yet you still have plays running successfully consistently. We had no run game with Wright by himself. He just is not a everydown back and it showed. He is a change of pace. If you were at the game you saw the officials were horrendous. Every thing was against TN whether it was spot, reviews or flags thrown. Defense gave up lot of points but it was due to bad situations most of the time; overall there are suprisingly several positives from that group despite the number of points. They got stops several times in the game and still have offense chances when needed.

I’m ashamed of volnation….. we talk a big game but don’t back it up….. we expect extreme commitment and loyalty from our players but can’t be bothered to show up and support them…. The crowd yesterday was embarrassing and could have made a difference in the game.

Yeah 5 is nothing. Coming in to the season I thought we would take Pitt and split Mizzou and Uk, but after 2 weeks I dont think we beat either. Im still down on JH after yesterday, but we dont have the horses to beat any SEC team outside of SC and Vandy, the D will fade all year like it has the last 2 weeks because of that.

Not really, every SEC team not named Scar or Vandy will just lean on us and wear us out. Add in a turnover or two on offense, which both QB's I see having at least one a game, we dont have a good recipe for this season.

And I also don’t want to hear a damn thing about a players effort sucks or any complaining about a game being moved from Saturday to a Thursday ever again from this fan base. These kids asked for a sellout push and you had less people at this game than that Thursday night game you whined like babies about because you couldn’t get there in a Thursday ona freaking holiday weekend. Against a worse opponent too. This was the first Saturday game against a good solid opponent. It was the best game to go to already out of the three home games to start season because you don’t get another until South Carolina comes to town as TN tech is not one to get all riled up about. Piss poor effort by fans

After looking at the rest of the SEC scores, it definitely feels like we are just ahead of Vanderbilt overall and that's it.

This is craziness Cat. SC needed a last second field to beat East Carolina. We will throttle them. I’m not so sure we beat anyone other than SC and Vandy though in SEC play. I think Kentucky and Mizzou will be tough games that could go either way.
