I don't dislike him, but going after a guy the way he did publicly just seems wrong to me. This team has a lot of flaws, some of which are magnified by the philosophy Barnes has chosen.

Don’t care. The game before he got sick he had one of the best games of his career and probably the best game of any Tennessee player this year. Fulk is one of our biggest leaders and always has been. He’s not a big post presence and never has been. Barnes should call himself out for his terrible offense

Y’all think Hooker has a big game problem? Struggled against Florida. Struggled early against Ole Miss. was awful against Ga. Game sealing interception against Bama. Struggled in the bowl game too.

I don't agree with throwing players under the bus in public. Say what you want in the locker room, but keep it there.

IMO Barnes needs to run some of these guys off. Bench doesn't look real strong.

Rick Barnes reminds me alot of John Thompson III coached Georgetown from 04-17’ was pretty good went to a final 4 but otherwise was known for early tournament upsets. Their win % is very similar as well. That’s a good security blanket but at some point it kinda gets aggravating. I guess the CFB version would be Mark Richt as someone on Twitter posted a few posts above lol

I personally think that’s more of the talent around him. Hooker isn’t phenomenal but he gets the system going efficiently. But against those teams you listed our surrounding talent with Hooker seems to destruct. Offensive line… receivers at times. Running backs not breaking tackles for huge gains… it’s all a combination

Rumor has it. NIL I know weve been talking about it a lot in football but in basketball as well. There was a kid out of TX who had ties to Barnes that ended up at UK, one kid ended up at FL St. We have Edwards but there have been several misses as well.
I think the talent level is better than 7, but I dont think team + coaching is any better than middle of the pack.
