We a very fortunate to have a new university administration, a new AD and a new HC.UT fired him.. or no? He got what he was owed (Buyout). Where he went after Tennessee fired him is irrelevant.
“Facilitated destruction”.. makes me laugh. There were MANY consecutive factors that led to Tennessee’s downfall. Good news.. it appears we’re headed back up with Josh Heupel.
For me, it was the very visible “F$%# all of ‘em!” (While motioning to the crowd) he mouthed during that one game. Then wasting away his contract as a friggin intern at Bama while smoking cigars in our stadium. Supreme level douchery.Yes. I understand towards the end of his tenure, but he had seasons of success.
Control of access to the players. They don't want that one Twitter rap idiot getting access to the players. Also if it feels elitist then maybe people like @InVOLuntary will want to donate morecant believe they didn’t include something like that honestly.
It's screwed up on both sides. The winning team is being taught that absolutely dominating your competition is bad.
I'd be fired if I worked up there. I'd be teaching them to never let up, beat them by 500 if they let you, because someone else will try to beat you the same way. Never stop, no matter what you're competing in or who you're competing against. . .
They apparently have a lot of buyin with said large boosters. Why not give a few benefits, like recruiting updates or something small? I guarantee they could raise just as much money with a small option as they will be able to with these gigantic amounts. Seriously, who can really afford to give $24k a year to put towards buying recruits? Mainly the mid-tier to upper tier boosters who are already donating large amounts of money to TN.
Do you understand the need for fairness on the f'n field? Are you ok with exhibition football? That wasn't the NCAA. That was SCOTUS basically telling them to get out of it or "you're gonna get it".
The NCAA can't (and never should have) tell SAs how, when, or for how much they can earn money of their own volition.

That's garbage...they have had a chokehold on the old under the table bagman game, nobody else was allowed to get away with it while the NCAA and SEC turn a blind eye and allowed Bama and a few other to get away with it...but now all these others can start to do it legally...A&M was just the most aggressive in understanding this new landscape and exploiting it.interesting View attachment 427119
Nowadays that's considered antiquated by the Monday morning couch coaches.I’m as competitive as the next guy. I have coached my son for 5 years now. I will say that if my team was up 50-4, I would coach a little differently and find ways to slow the game down. Has nothing to do with being soft IMO. But that’s just me.
Any player worth his weight would probably laugh at playing for a brand new/unknown entity and attending an online university. They want the glory, the attention, exposure, etc.The USFL is partnering with Strategic Education, Inc., a leader in online education, to offer its players and league staff a tuition-free, debt-free college degree program.
USFL players and staff can enroll at Strategic Education's Strayer University and Capella University, both institutionally accredited universities that support busy working adults in achieving their academic goals. Staff and players will be able to undertake tuition-free coursework online through Capella University or online and in-person at Strayer University, giving them the flexibility to pursue associate, bachelor's, or master's degrees in business, healthcare, IT, and education, among others.
How y’all think is going to effect college football?
It wasn't "for no reason"..you made a dumbass post and I made a ******* reply. You were trying to start some shizz and you got what you wanted.Buddy, you are a smart guy. How can you not pick up on the sarcasm in my post?
I just refuse to go into another discussion about Hooker's struggles because many on VN are incapable of it. They immediately go into defense mode for no reason
