Price mentioned Tyler Steen a few times in podcast this morning. That tells you we are in thick of that one. We are hoping he visits first week of March. Would be big get.
Did Steen play left or right tackle? I ask because they also mentioned Darnell Wright's willingness to move back to right tackle this coming season.

He "could have been" the greatest player in UT history.

And Tennessee's first Heisman winner.

Love those road uniforms.

"If you would have asked us four to five months ago, we might have said we want to try and raise 3 million, 4 million, 5 million annually. Now, the goal is 25 million annually... We think that goal is absolutely attainable..If this is how the game is played, then game on."

"We're prepared to invest a substantial amount of resources into the 2023 recruiting class... well into the seven-figure category."

"Tennessee signed seven of the nine class of 2022 prospects Spyre Sports had significant conversations with during the recruiting process."

"We realized how much money we were going to need to be elite.. and we're shooting for number 1."

"Some are payable for multiple years, but packages like the ones Spyre helps arrange for players are routinely for more than six figures."

"[Spyre] has enlisted the help of a Washington, D.C. political fundraise it connected with via Heath Shuler."

" 'They've taken the right approach, which is to get the right people involved and engaged, and they've done that from the fan standpoint to the high diners,' Said Shuler."

"We want players to see through social media if you come to Tennessee, they're going to have a nice car, going to have a nice apartment."

"We feel like the quarterback at Tennessee can make as much money as anywhere in the country. If you go out and replicate the season Hendon Hooker just had, there's no reason why at the end of the day in deals we do and other companies do or national brands, the quarterback at Tennessee shouldn't make seven figures a year... Out of respect for Hendon, it's probably inappropriate to discuss specific dollar amounts, and we don't want our competitors to know what we're doing, but I promise what Hendon has been presented with has been substantial."

"If we execute, Tennessee will be able to close the talent gap with teams like Georgia and Alabama a lot quicker than the previous model, where you had to build a program back slowly."

Bada bing bada boom

Yeah I have been like that for two months. Real bad congestion right before Christmas, but still hanging on to me. I can’t seem to get over it.
Our whole family had the crud after Christmas. We all got over it at various times - i think think everyone is pretty much back to normal, now. I have an ear issue, seems the head congestion messed up my right eustachian tube. Looks like i may have to go to an ENT.

Dr had us taking about 6 things, most over-the-counter and a couple of perscriptions.

I’m going to love the NIL as long as we are the ones being successful with it. 😂

This makes me feel much better. We may not duplicate A&M class but no reason not to be top 5 going forward. Buy a 5 star QB, and two of those huge arse tackles that Bama seem to pump into the NFL every season. That's a good start.

Quick story about the holocaust museum in DC:

My brother is an educator who has some influence in the Jewish world because of project he did several years ago. When the Holocaust museum opened in Washington DC, he was invited to tour with a few other prominent people connected to Holocaust education. The premise behind the museum is you're given a card with the name and background of a Jewish person in the holocaust. You're then 'lead' through the museum as events unfolded before and during the war. At the end of the tour, you find out whether the person on your card lived or died. I'm not sure if that's how the museum is structured now but that's how it was when it opened.

On my brother's tour during the 'opening', he was given a card and lead through the museum individually by an older lady. She told him about the construction of the museum, the events surrounding the war, and other tidbits about the Jewish existence during this time. At the end, he observed other people finishing the tour being told about the person on their card. He gently asked the older lady if the person on his card lived or died. She said:

"I lived"
I’m sobbing

Thanks for providing this.

Posted it back when the NIL door opened - it changed everything in college sports. Also knew our people would be all over it despite all the hand wringing and whining on here. It's been a new day on the hill since Boyd accepted the system Prez job. Boyd is a brilliant business owner who loves UT and understands leadership/management. Once all the oars started rowing in the same direction, things began to change for the better. Now with DW in control - wearing PMS 151 becomes an elite thing to do.

As an example of how NIL changed it, we have groused for years about how Vandy could sign more elite baseball players due to their scholarship work around. Guess what advantage they lost with NIL?

Loading up a football roster with 3* PWO kids with NIL in the short term expedites a return to elite status quicker. Quality depth develops while better recruiting picks up - also due to the NIL.

Loading up and retaining a talented roster for additional seasons of play in basketball with NIL.

You're not wrong. If we can get the top 3 ranked players we're after due to NIL, Nico, Burley, and Tate, we are well on our way to top 5. It can be done. And if it is, I have confidence that Heup and crew can take us back to the top. We saw what Heup's offense could do in year on without a single player he had recruited, with 70 scholarship players when other teams had close to 100, and even the QB who came on strong and became a great player, didn't start that way. Just imagine what he's going to do going forward.

Then with Garner with DL. He got Butler drafted this year, and fairly highly, some saying perhaps as high as the 2nd round. Let him get top ranked guys in here. Watch what he does with Big O and others this year. We are on our way if this comes to fruition

If you give Heup comparable talent to UGA the 3rd Saturday in October, and the SEC Championship rematch will be the IT game yearly once again. His offense would be Art Briles level but with NFL talent all over the field. It's disgustingly beautiful just thinking about it.
