I know it doesn't make any difference because it is not what actually happened.....but how about the fact that THREE of those were planning to come to UT together until the different Covid Recruiting restrictions threw a wrench in their plans. The question is would UT have won a National Championship if they had landed Banchero and Smith along with Chandler?

Oh yeah lmao. Recruiting is basically just relationship building. That takes time. Anyone who expected this to start immediately after he was hired was expecting too much to begin with, so I just ignored those posts.

But for real.. basketball recruiting is worrying me lol.

I’m not super concerned, but if (and that’s a big if) the rumors are true that Barnes isn’t big on NIL, then obviously recruiting will be an issue going forward. NIL is the game now - adapt or die.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, and I absolutely love Christ...and, Turtles All The Way Down is one of my favorite songs of all time; i disagree with it, but i know great music, period

I agree the mainstream is garbage, but what isn't. Rock, hip hop, everything...rock n roll is hanging by a thread as it pertains to mainstream. My Morning Jacket makes the best music in the world, but the world knows Harry Styles.

I've heard a considerable amount of Harry Styles given that my girlfriend is a superfan. I just looked up My Morning Jacket's music with her beside me... We both agree there's really no discernable difference in their sound aside from the fact that Harry is a considerably better singer.

I'm guessing you know none of these artists personally. It's one thing to say you don't like someone's music but there's no need to get so hateful. Also, just as the beauty of art is in the eye of the beholder, music is in the ear of the listener. I have it when people unequivocally say one artist (especially one who's clearly successful) is awful.

Let me put this plainly, this isn't me being "hateful". This is actually the vanilla version of my true feelings towards modern country music. I can't possibly express how I truly feel because I like being on this board (expressing how I actually feel is what got me kicked off Twitter).

You mentioned successful. Success ain't got **** to do with it when there's no other options. Country radio plays what they're told, like good little robots, and nASSville tells them to play this formulaic, auto-tuned, snap track, same **** different voice nonsense regurgitated and vomited over the airwaves on a daily basis. Fact of the matter is this, in today's world, a VAST MAJORITY (not everyone, just so I ain't being misunderstood) wants what's easy. Those same people want everything dumbed down to the lowest common denominator so that they can feel good, hence the reason why storytelling is on life support in country music. It's all "I got a girl in my 4WD in daisy dukes with a cold beer", rinse and repeat. Maybe mix it up a little here and there, but everyone sounds the **** same and they're all singing about the same dumb ****.

So you'll just have to forgive me for not giving it another chance. I've tried, the young thundercats I work with play that nonsense, and I have to either throw in headphones or go somewhere else because I can't stand that level of nonsense (and trust me, I can put up with a LOT of nonsense).

And I don't care to know any of them personally. If you do, that's cool. Do me a favor: tell them I said their music sucks, whoever's putting their music on country radio should be publically ridiculed, and they should be ashamed (and yes you can quote me on that) of themselves for calling what they do country music. If they personally have an issue with it, they can take it up with me.
