You mentioned successful. Success ain't got **** to do with it when there's no other options. Country radio plays what they're told, like good little robots, and nASSville tells them to play this formulaic, auto-tuned, snap track, same **** different voice nonsense regurgitated and vomited over the airwaves on a daily basis. Fact of the matter is this, in today's world, a VAST MAJORITY (not everyone, just so I ain't being misunderstood) wants what's easy. Those same people want everything dumbed down to the lowest common denominator so that they can feel good, hence the reason why storytelling is on life support in country music. It's all "I got a girl in my 4WD in daisy dukes with a cold beer", rinse and repeat. Maybe mix it up a little here and there, but everyone sounds the **** same and they're all singing about the same dumb ****.

So you'll just have to forgive me for not giving it another chance. I've tried, the young thundercats I work with play that nonsense, and I have to either throw in headphones or go somewhere else because I can't stand that level of nonsense (and trust me, I can put up with a LOT of nonsense).

And I don't care to know any of them personally. If you do, that's cool. Do me a favor: tell them I said their music sucks, whoever's putting their music on country radio should be publically ridiculed, and they should be ashamed (and yes you can quote me on that) of themselves for calling what they do country music. If they personally have an issue with it, they can take it up with me.

I actually agree with you about the country music I sometimes hear on the radio (spouse likes to listen to it so when in car together... - I never listen to radio - except for Vols' games). In terms of current music, I like Americana genre & it's not played much on radio (to my knowledge). My post to you was more about what you said about FGL - I don't know anybody famous, but I do know people who know people in the industry. I've heard the FGL guys are good people so I felt like you could've expressed your hatred for their music without getting personal. Anyways, I stand by what I said (except for the reference to being successful - I only said it to show that plenty of ppl like what they're hearing, but yeah doesn't mean it's "good.")

NashvilleSC about to open their new stadium this Saturday. Charlotte FC had 70k fans show up for their first game at Bank Of America Stadium. It’s growing.

I’ll be going to Charlotte this summer as Chelsea is coming from London to play Charlotte FC at Bank of America. I’m pumped.

Spent 2 weeks in Switzerland when I worked for Nestle. Absolutely amazing. Grindelwald is a little town that looks like it hasn’t changed in 100 years. Then you have Zurich that has cobblestone on one street and then you go 2 streets over with the largest banks in the world. I’ve never seen so many Lamborghinis and Ferraris in one place.

We loved that area of SD… Custer SP, Mt Rushmore, the towns and cities. Disappointed in the national parks there. Oh, and the Wall drugstore was a complete waste of time, tourist trap.

I love Rick Barnes and have been one of his staunchest supporters on here..but..if this is true....he is gonna have to go. That is pure stupidity in this day and age.

I don't get it...surely this is not true.
