2015 Josh Dobbs: 205/344 (59.6%) for 2291 yards, 15 TD. 146 Rush Att for 671 yards, 11 TD, 1 rec 58 yd TD. 3020 Total Yards, 27 total TD.
2016 Josh Dobbs: 225/357 (63%) for 2946 yards, 27 TD. 150 Rush Att for 831 yards, 12 TD, 1 rec 4 yd TD. 3781 Total Yards, 40 total TD.
2021 Hendon Hooker: 206/303 (68%) for 2945 yards, 31 TD. 166 Rush Att for 616 yards, 5 TD. 3561 Total Yards, 36 total TD.
Hooker did all that with 1.5 less games under his belt, in a brand new system that the entire offense was learning. With a lesser roster.
Will 2022 Hooker beat 2016 Josh Dobbs total yards and TDs from scrimmage? If so, where does that rank Hooker and Dobbs in your Tennessee QB overall rankings? Both top 10?
Does Hooker have to have signature wins like 2016 UF and UGA?
To me the biggest stat you gotta have as a QB at UT to cement yourself here as top 10 or better is Wins & Losses.
Peyton Manning: 39-6
Casey Clausen: 34-10
Andy Kelly: 24-5-2
Tee Martin: 22-3
Josh Dobbs: 23-12
Heath Shuler: 19-5
Hendon Hooker: 6-5
I don't know how many he'll win this season, but if he wants to really be talked about as a UT great he needs to finish his career with 15 or more wins I think.
