There's a reason many call Neyland a temple and each fall it feels like we're all making a trek to Mecca.

Definitely has quasi-spiritual feel to it all. Maybe that's what 100,000 humans pulling together feels like. I get the same vibes from Bonnaroo and anyone there will say the same thing. That and Neyland are magical. No other way to say it.

We sure don't get that in day to day life on the streets. More tension than cooperation and radiating positivity.
You ever try an eighth of a marajuanas and 2 grams of mushroom while watching The Wizard off Oz?

No?… of course not, because you would be DEAD

I have often referred to our drive down I81 and I40 as the pilgrimage.

I prefer to watch games on TV, but I love the pilgrimage and the stadium environment. So far, that wins out.

As long as I live, I won't ever forget the 2016 Florida game. It was just me and my dad. I had waited over a decade for that moment and I got it in amazing fashion. "Quasi-spiritual" is the perfect word for the experience.

Shew you should read the Auburn mods and board.

He apparently showed up and right off the bat believed the Boise, Mountain West "ways" were superior to SEC ways. SEC players were dumbed down. He believed he didn't need to make good connections. Didn't attend Auburn events or connect with alumnus. Didn't think recruiting was that big of a priority because his Xs and Os were superior to everyone else in the league.

He's a worse version of Pruitt. He won't last another 2 years, max.
He’s a chris Petersen understudy but Petersen could recruit relatively well. Bumped Washington’s recruiting from the 30’s and 40’s into the teens. If Harsin wants to last in the sec he’ll have to recruit a bit better obviously and not be so hard headed. But for our sake I like when other sec schools are in shambles for a change

Years from now, there will 350,000 folks claiming they were present when Drew Gilbert hit the grand slam walkoff against Wright State last year. I am sure it was an unmatched, indescribable feeling being there in person.

Edit: Thanks to @volsfan_17 for reminding me the opponent was Wright State and not Ohio.
It was epic. Sad thing was this dad and his son were sitting next to us the entire game. The dad would not shut up the entire game trying to explain baseball to his son (probably 8 or 9 yo) but the dad knew nothing about baseball. Then when we got down 3 in the 9th they left and missed the finish. Poor kid.

Having good coaches and winning is a fun change for patient vol fans. Athletic department even seems like it’s going smoothly for first time in forever.
