Sciatica pain - anyone ever dealt with it?
Currently in a situation where I'm walking about 10 miles a day on vacation, but I tweaked my sciatica nerve Friday. Ever since, I can only walk for about 5-10 mins at a time before it becomes almost unbearable and have to take a break.
Is there any kind of stretch or a way to get quick relief once it flares up? It almost reminds me of a foot cramp where it gets so bad, but then the right move can get instant relief. I just can't find a repeatable method and have just been sitting for a few mins each time to get it to relax.
"Brewing beer" should still be an acceptable work absence.
Exactly. The pain is compression. The inversion restores separation.
Sending Prayers to your familyI’m outside the hospital. Father in law is fading fast from cancer in his liver discovered about a month ago.
The man had like 3 alcoholic drinks a year and never touched a drug or smoked. Diet has always been shockingly bad though. And I’m still living in his house, feeling like I’m in the way, and can’t seem to do anything to change that. More than most anything, I hate feeling powerless and hate feeling like I’m imposing myself on someone

Do you recommend a particular brand or model of conversion table?McKenzie lumbar protocol for radicular low back pain.
Make sure that the Therapist is McKenzie certified. Ll the therapists understand the basics, but you want the certified therapist.
Avoid rotation. Injured discs are at their most vulnerable with rotation. Especially lifting and rotation.
Avoid core strengthening until all radicular pain is gone. You can always strengthen your core after the discs are healed.
I am a big fan of inversion tables as well.
