Man, @vol81 good to hear from you, old friend. You and me were best buds back in the day. Life just happened, and I hadn’t reached out in a while. I’d love to reconnect. I’m free and will be near Augusta between April 2-9, 2023. Send me a ticket. Look forward to reconnecting.
1. Dont need hate to enjoy watching sporting events.Yeah it was….. the teams hated each other…. Free agency wasn’t rampant….the rules allowed players to play defense….Analytics hadn’t made the game into a three point shooting contest yet….there were no such thing as flagrant fouls…. It was an extremely fun era.
1. That's not true. True rivalries make sports better. This pussy sportsmanship BS is stupid1. Dont need hate to enjoy watching sporting events.
2. free agency is great. Let the employees control their professional careers just like everyone else in the country that career hop to get where they want.
3. analysts is a part of every facet of life. Not just sports. Keep out all the plumbers and unskilled workers that were prominent in the 70’s/80’s/90’s. They dont need to be in sports. Bye!
4. Yes flagrant fouls have gone overboard, but you take the good with the bad.
LOL ….. WTH are you talking about? Analytics doesn’t have anything to do with the type of athletes those eras had….. it would have just meant that those guys would have just jacked up the three ball and shot lay ups/dunks. Back then they played inside-out basketball…. The rest of your comments is absolute nonsense from the fan point of view.1. Dont need hate to enjoy watching sporting events.

Analytics has driven the nba to more of a “shooters” league. If you can’t shoot, you have been marginalized severely. A lot of players are no longer in the league b/c they can’t shoot. On average, each nba team had 1 or 2 players on the team that could shoot. The rest of players were paint guys, “enforcers”, or defensive guys. Tell me you don’t understand basketball w/o saying you don’t understand basketball. Lmao if my perspective was nonsense, the NBA wouldn’t transformed into what it has today. 80’s bball <current gen bball.LOL ….. WTH are you talking about?
