Women’s basketball is just a sad product. Not enjoyable at all. Softball, volleyball, track and field sports… all better.

Yeah, I've seen so many non-sports fans friends of mine chiming in with their takes lately because of the "woke" media trying to turn this story about someone attempting to illegally smuggle weed into a discussion about pay gaps between the NBA and WNBA.

Like if she wasn't a "celebrity" not a person would be even talking about it. Why isn't "do the crime, do the time" applied to people with some fame like it is the rest of the world...

I agree though, the WNBA product is just bad, and the college game has gotten worse too. Like what used to make women's basketball enjoyable is now being stripped away...and unfortunately a faster paced athletic style of play only works if you actually have really impressive athletic players. Women's basketball doesn't. Hell most HS boys basketball teams don't, the NBA is a bad measuring stick because they are the elite of the elite.

I miss good team defense, strong fundamentals, quality shooting, set plays and intelligent coaching...and the officiating is absolutely atrocious at all levels, but even more so in the women's college game now.

Now you're doing the same thing @UTProf is doing, only in the other way haha. Your point is valid, that women's sports are objectively less athletic. But the WNBA is at a far higher level than junior high boys. The average high school team couldn't even come close to a WNBA team. True the better high school teams could, but you're way overblowing it.

You might be right about the average. The average boys basketball team in some hick towns in flyover USA aren't good. But I didn't say average. The good 14-15 AAU would easily win against the best WNBA teams. The good 17-18 AAU teams wouldn't even let them score.

I debated posting some YouTube videos of highlights and lowlights of the Wnba and some AAU teams, but I'm really not trying to **** on those women. That isn't my point.

But anyway. The skill gap is just as large as I stated, without exaggeration.

Recruiting notes from the VQ Podcast: Wait and see what UT does with Roderick Robinson (4 star RB that has been Crystal Ball predicted to UCLA). Don't think the Vols are totally out with him. Also not closing the door on Bishop. Expect UT to add depth at RB from a grad transfer or the portal. Markese Stepp (6'0 220lb 4 star Nebraska RB) is one to keep an eye on. Do the Vols have a chance with Boo Carter? (2024 ATH from Chatt) Vols need to get him on campus a few more times. Devin Hobbs (4 star DL from NC) Vols are getting momentum, but will be tough. Jordan Matthews (4 star CB from LA) Down to UT and TX with Vols starting to trend. Should announce within a month or so. IMO Stepp looks like a beast, and potentially a good fit for this offense. Not sure why he has bounced around so much. SIAP go VOLS!

Robinson is committed to UCLA, not just crystal balled

Cool, thanks. Good reference to look up. Apps are not always accurate, but I think this would be good. People love to take pics of snakes. You should develop the app. As long as you let Volnation name it and have funny quips throughout it. It could be a big hit.

Edit: My bad, only let the Recruiting forum name it.
It would pretty much have to be called, "can you see the copperhead"

The trout that I caught made me work for 15 minutes to land it. We were gigging at 80 feet deep. Every time I would get it headed up, it would turn and dive back down. The guide took about 10 pictures as it was the biggest lake trout he had seen this season. Just an awesome experience. That my son and I were able to do it together made it that much more fun.View attachment 475912

Memories…..

Why did they lower the rims for 12 year olds?
Yeah I only remember having them up to age 10 or 11 (before middle school). Idk maybe he's still intermediate school age or it's a year different in Canada(?)

Or maybe they just thought it'd be hilarious for 1 game. And they were right.

Imagine trying to take a moral high ground while calling them indians still. 😂😂😂

Also, it's called conquering which has been the thing of humankind since ever

I mean Genghis Khan was a conquer...he wasn't duplicitous in what he wanted...save our bacon with Thanksgiving and then we taking everything

The pilgrims were casing the joint😅
