LOL, that's where we are with journalism!?Like random folks on Twitter stirring it up...happens all the time.
But so many "journalist" just ran with it didn't even verify it was Pete before doing it either. Hell just googling Pete the two both have beards but it's pretty clearly not him.
Well it looks like today is my last day as semi-VN insider… my guy is finishing up at UT and is heading to chiropractor school in December.. For @HoleInTheRoof …. The person DW missed was a sports medicine intern/assistant…. The reason why I didn’t have as much info on Tuesday through thursdays was bc he had classes during scheduled practice time. I may still get info from time to time due to connections he has made but nothing like before. Go Vols!
Seriously? That is causing people to question?
The world today..."Let's pick out some random guy...and ruin his life...over nothing."
-HubbsIt would make sense that he is on Penn State's list now that Franklin has lost both his co-DC's. Franklin has said he wants someone who can run a system very similar to what they have been running. I haven't seen Banks' name on the Penn State hot boards at this point.
I do think staff guys here are going to get raises.
If I'm interviewing for HC jobs, why would I make a move at DC to a place I been before? From Tony Basilio's Wednesday blog:
Tennessee Football Is Nervous About Tim Banks & Penn State: We can confirm through sources that Banks and Penn State have talked. It appeared that Penn State was going to hire Ok State DC Jim Knowles until Ohio State jumped into the equation and, as was told to me by an industry source, 'punted them.' Now James Franklin is circling back to Tim Banks who was on his Penn State staff from 2016 until joining Tennessee last December.
Banks has been busy the past couple of weeks on the recruiting trail for the Vols. Plus he also had a zoom interview for the Duke head coaching opening as well as visiting with James Franklin for a few conversations. It goes without saying that Tennessee would hate to lose Banks after only one season. Firstly he did a very nice job as a collaborative coordinator for Tennessee's surprisingly effective defense. Plus he's involved with several prospects over the next couple of cycles.
