Austin Price alluded to McBride being a candidate to look elsewhere after the year (because he apparently didn't make the trip to Columbia)..

Also said Shrout still needs to grow in the offense (duh) and Maurer is lighting up the scoreboard against middle-tier competition in HS. There's still some possibility we chase the QB transfer market, but don't look so hard at Jalen Hurts.

Just paraphrasing from the Sunday show he does with Troy and Swain
Sounds about right. Landing the right GT at QB could be big for us. I'm not sure Hurts is the guy we want for this system, though, unless they really want to incorporate the QB into the ground game.

You're wrong in my opinion. Under normal circumstances I would agree. Not with where we are at just starting a rebuild. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. But it really doesn't matter now anyway haha.
I think you're selling our coach short, but I agree to disagree with you.

Here is my best shot at being completely objective on JG solely as a QB because everyone thinks i just hate the kid which is far from the truth. I just expect a lot from QBs. My father played QB at an ACC school and my Brother played in the Mountain West and is currently a scout for the 49ers. So i lean on them for my QB opinions a lot, with that being said....

👍🏻:
- Toughness
- quick burst as a runner
- Plus accuracy 10 yards inside the numbers
- Solid Arm Strength
- decent touch on balls (major improvement from last year)
-timing passer, more comfortable under center within drops

👎🏻: things i don’t like or he needs to improve:
- Flick thrower with a laggy release. (Ive said this before but particularly when he throws downfield he flicks the ball instead of driving it which leads to balls sailing or hanging up in the air too long...watch a guy like baker mayfield whos release is lightning quick and you’ll know what i mean by laggy)
- heavy feet in the pocket (doesn’t move much within it to extend plays or evade rushers)
- less accurate when throwing outside of the numbers particularly on deep outs.
- doesn’t run enough, athletic enough to pick up 5-10 yards several times of the course of the game but likes to wait inside the pocket.
- after a drop or when first read is covered he struggles with “adlibing” which goes back to extending plays.

These are just things off the top of my head that I’ve charted and noticed through out the year. For instance (and this is to blame on Helton too... )in the first half vs SC he didn’t complete a pass over 6 air yards pass the LOS. Missed on throws of 29, 19, 8, and 16. He had 11 completions less than 3 yards...his TD to Wolfe was 9yds traveled.... the reason i believe he’s in there is Bc Pruitt wants to run a run/screen heavy offense, with vertical concepts off that (similar to what The Jets run) but we’re not hitting on the vertical part so South Carolina picked up on that and mostly squatted underneath and took that away and we couldn’t do anything.
I think you've tried to look at it objectively to some degree. You were all in on KC in the Spring. I agree he needs to run more and he does not seem to like to scramble. He has no internal clock. I think he is still improving and will continue to do so. I do appreciate you answering honestly. I think you have tried really hard to look at this one fairly. That's something most of us don't do.

Expect @drvenner to make you prove it haha. That guy is so full of himself lol.
I can be full of myself, at times. I don't have a problem with you. I called you out because you made a bold statement. You seem like you're a pretty good dude, so I will just say I hope we finish 8-5 and WTFA for the rest of they year. GBO!!
