If you guys have a subscription to the athletic, I highly recommend the piece on A. Taylor. If you don’t have a sub they will let you read 3 free articles a month so go check it out. This kid has a lot of great influences in his life. He’s already our best player on defense and is going to be an absolute star here imo. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Pruitt turn him into a first rounder.
Let's look at things this way regarding the 5 leagues
Best team in each league:
1 Bama
2 Clemson
3 OU
4 michigan
5 Washington State
The SEC clearly wins this one
#2 team in each league
Georgia-Ohio State
West Virginia
Washington
Boston college
Giving the SEC and Big Ten a tie for winning this one even though I think Georgia is better.
#3 team in each league
LSU
Texas
Mich State
Utah
Syracuse
SEC wins easily this group
#4 team in each league
Miss State -Penn State
Iowa state
Oregon
NC State
Another tie between SEC and BIg 10
Number #5 team
Auburn
Wisconsin
Stanford
NC state
Texas Tech
SEC wins again
Number 6 team in each league
Texas A@M
USC
Iowa
Texas tech
Pitt
SEC wins again
Number 7 team
Kentucky
Purdue
Baylor
Virginia Tech
Cal
SEC wins again
Number 8 teams
Florida
Arizona state
Northwestern
Ok state
Miami
SEC wins again
Number 9 team
USCe
Duke
Maryland
Tcu
Colorado
SEC wins yet again
10th best teams:
Mizzu
Ga Tech
K State
Arizona
Indiana
SEC wins again
So can we please stop this parity, other leagues are deeper, Bama is the only good team BS this board keeps spewing out?

I'm torn about this. I like Kyle Phillips a lot. But there have been games where he has been completely non existent, just getting blown off the ball. Unfortunately, he is very slow also. But he seems to show up in some games so I definitely would have him in my top 5. AJ is the same as Kyle in this regard. Darrell Taylor has had one good game. He has not impacted many others at all. Bryce has the interceptions, but he's been thrown at more than Taylor. Taylor is ranked top 5 in the country in yards allowed. One of the best ways to tell who is a great corner is that teams do not challenge him. Teams do not throw at him and we rarely hear his name. This is good for a corner. If he wouldn't get tossed from games it would be better, but I have him up there as playing as good as anyone if not better on defense this year.Taylor is playing well for a freshmen but I don't think he is our best defensive player this year.
My top 5.
1. Kyle Phillips
2. Bryce Thompson
3. Alexis Johnson
4. Darrell Taylor
5. Alontae Taylor
Kyle, Alexis, and Darrell have had a sneakily good year so far.

Completely agree! I also highly recommend subscribing to the Athletic. True, there are pros and cons to both. I also hate seeing a 1 loss team lose their division and not get a chance but a 9-3 team make it to a conference championship just to get smacked
I think Taylor will have a legit shot to be a first round pick down the roadTaylor is playing well for a freshmen but I don't think he is our best defensive player this year.
