I hate to say it, but if we did that, it would probably be Terry Fair. We already have Charles Kelly and Pruitt's speciality is DB's as well.

yeah, if there's any moves, it'd be on defense. and we have 2 lb coahes and 2 secondary coaches. i dont' see either LB coach going anywhere.

sad, but i think Fair would be the odd man out, if you're going to make room for a full time QB coach or full time TE coach.

if they want to keep everything as is, i could see them combining TE/RB possibly or moving TE's wtih the Oline.

bottomline, they have options.

Freeze has never really been a position coach. He was a TE coach for maybe a year or two under Orgeron, but he was the recruiting coordinator.

The offense at OM was his. He was hired at Lambuth, which is now defunct, and totally turned the program around. He was OC at Arkansas State the year before he was hired as coach.

That is a spectacular list. But saying Pruitt is more comfortable with the other three (Kitchens, Lindsey and Enos) doesn’t sound like VQ-speak for “its Freeze” to me. In any case, I’ll trust Pruitt with his pick of any of those four (or whichever one he can get).

Freeze has never been a QB coach. And weren't you just saying Weinke should be let go?

I say Weinke moves to QBs, move Osovet or Hardesty up to RBs...or, go get Jay Graham.

This is why we don't want to fire Weinke; he's very versatile, can coach a few positions; not to mention his input on the offense overall.
