But in 20 of our 29 wins we won comfortably by double digits...I feel like winning by 20 doesn't help as much as getting Jalen or Walker 6 extra minutes of game time. My opinion at least.
It’s a fine line. There were probably a couple of games to get the bench more minutes. Pons played 20 minutes against UGA. Against Arkansas, our defense was so bad the second half, we had to keep scoring. At UF, it was a one possession game very late. At USC, we were up 65-61 with 11 minutes left. At A&M, it was 78-72 with 7:45 left. Mizzou at home, it was 60-52 with 6:45 left. UF at home, it was a single digit lead halfway through the second half.
It’s just tough calls when you are only up single digits late in a game. You want your guys getting experience, but you have to close out the game.
