Grant, Dadmiral and bone didn’t play very well. We had like 19 TO’s and something like 7 consecutive. We made a little run at the end but Auburn was too hot from 3 to even make it interesting
In my opinion (and I realize this is a bias opinion) about half of those turn-overs should have been fouls, they were swatting our hands more than two bros on National High-Five day

Ehhh. Maybe a couple. I was pissed when Alexander got pushed in the back and lost the ball after he forced a TO, but I don't recall many more.

I always do a realistic bracket and a homer bracket.

My homer bracket this year has UT beating Duke 100-71 in the NC.

My realistic bracket this year has UT only beating Duke 78-76 in the NC.

😏

I do the same. And this year I will rightly have them be one in the same as well. Feels good! My biggest fault is riding a cinderella too deep (twss) into the tourney. They lose and my PPP goes in the dumpster.

If I had to chose: go to the tourney (win one game) and keep Holly, or miss the touney and start fresh next year, I'm taking plan B.
I get what you're saying, but I just can't do it. The effort this year has been pretty piss-poor, but there are some players who work very hard and who should be rewarded.

They were very "handsy" as I call it. It's how Bruce teaches it. We benefited from that when he was here. They swat, touch, push guys around.

The entire team

Well, that *would* make it difficult to win.

Conservatively 5-6 of their 19 turnovers were reaching fouls, I also want to point out that Grant got fouled on the block several times that wasn't called, he doesn't miss around the rim much with or without contact they were mugging him on the low block and he missed quite a few coincidence? I don't think so. With that being said even despite all of that I don't know if we win that game, giving Auburn credit here, they shot the nets off the goals from 3 yesterday but that type of play can only take you so far in the tournament before you have a cold night and it's over.

We cut it to 7 not far into the second half, and then they hit like 3 straight bombs to go up like 14.

Which normally is a foul especially when you do it against the UNC's, Duke's, and Kentucky's of the world just not for UT.......

If I'm being super critical, here's my biggest complaint with this season and how it unfolded. Earlier in the year I was harping on this too. Only 6 players who averaged more than 15 minutes per game, and Pons hit 12.5...so that's bloated since he was starting for a few games.

Duke a team who is not very deep had 7 guys over 15mpg and an 8th guy who was near 15mpg with 13.8. Maybe those 8-14 guys didn't "earn" the time, but I'm a big believer that the season should be where you really find out who can play cause practice isn't always a great indicator (Peterman vs Dobbs for example one always looked great in practice and the other didn't but when it's game time the separation of talent was different).
Would love to see a contrast with Barnes best Texas teams to see if this is a CRB thing or if our depth is just garbage.

Sad we didn't make the 1 seed just to be in Columbia. I was down to use my "birthday trip" from my wife on making a short trip down there to see us play. But between going to the Ohio (ugh) or the alternative plan of Denver and Red Rocks, I'm going Red Rocks all day smoke.gif

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I sure am grateful for the posters here that breakdown the egregious flaws in our team that allowed the losses to a No. 1 team and the 2, 3 and 5 seeds to happen.

I just thought that sometimes you just get beat by a good team - so glad my eyes have been opened to the truth.

Those people are pros and have played basketball most their lives. They know the truth about sports - any single blowout means you could never beat that team and that your team obviously didn't "want it" enough. Because if your will to win is strong enough you can use jedi mind tricks to control where the ball goes.
