I'm not gonna argue with that because you could end up being correct.
But shouldn't it be based on class results, not speculation or perception months in advance?
How many 5 stars did Pittman land before UGA?
Yikes
You and BGS overreact to everything
That sounds like something someone who would wish serious injury on young men would say.
No because as far as I can tell, they base the recruiting rankings based off how the star ratings of the kids they get to commit.
I will say, I have full faith in confidence that the kids we do get, the staff will develop the fullest of their ability and put them in the best positions to succeed. We all know that hasn't always been the case here.
Idk. Never claimed Pittman was an elite recruiter.
Got anything other than Yikes?
Like I said, I'm not suggesting they're bad recruiters. Rather, I think we all hype ourselves up thinking we have "elite recruiters" when in reality - we have a bunch of good coaching who came from good programs, and quite frankly its easy to get kids to go to good programs. Pruitt and Ansley left Alabama and their recruiting hasn't fallen off one bit. UGA's recruiting hasn't taken a dip when we took some guys off their staff. If you look at Tee Martin... all his top commits are highly rated California kids - I don't know if that's really a hard accomplishment when you're the premier football school in CA (Stanford has been better, arguably, but has much harder eligibility requirements.
Niedermeyer seems to be the one elite guy. He's been the go to for To'oto'o, Wright, and pretty sure Crouch.
And again, I'm not saying anyone on our staff is a bad recruiter. I'm just saying they're likely overrated, if only by the fans.
@butchna kind of makes my point - how many 5 stars did Pittman get before UGA? I'll assume he looked that up before asking and the answer is zero. Now he's getting them left and right and being a major thorn in our side. So is he an elite recruiter, or is it just really easy to get kids to commit to a powerhouse? Not hard to consider CJP and DA etc benefitted from that as well.
Fight me
Only when that young man is a punk, lied/trolled our coaching staff, talks trash on Tennessee when he's never even played for his school, and after our university - from staff to fans - did nothing but show him love throughout his recruitment.
Would another ACL tear be a debilitating injury? No, he'd recover just fine. Not like I wished he'd get paralyzed, pearl clutcher.

Totally agree, play basketball the way it was designed to be played. Hate watching Harden and the Rockets with him dribbling 90 percent of the time..Everyone associates golden state with offense but the reason they win is they play incredible defense. Plus one of the most fun to watch team offense in years.
All I got out of that is that you hate children and people grieving the loss of relatives. Metaphorically speaking, I made sweeping judgments about something that doesn't finish until February before I even finished reading may.No because as far as I can tell, they base the recruiting rankings based off how the star ratings of the kids they get to commit.

I think you’re wrong. There’s no reason so much difference making talent should’ve signed on after 5 wins...but they did. 4 of which did after said 5 wins were on the books. Google for proof.
I suggested that we have no idea who will be on that commit list before it's finished. No because as far as I can tell, they base the recruiting rankings based off how the star ratings of the kids they get to commit.
The bagman is over rated, imo. All big time programs are paying. That puts in squarely back at the the three things that recruits are looking at: playing time, ability to win a championship, and path to NFL.Pruitt can only sell hope for so long. Without a barrage of wins in 2019 it will have to be bagmen with the marketing push.
I've followed recruiting long enough and understand the current state of the UT program, it's coaching staff and everything about it that all I could muster was "yikes". Sorry. No because as far as I can tell, they base the recruiting rankings based off how the star ratings of the kids they get to commit.

Hard to give a final grade before the work has all been turned in... fair in your opinion?
One man’s “barrage” is another’s 2-3. As far that bagmen theme you keep shoving, when you gonna get around to reinventing the wheel by making it rounder? We got bagmen...bubby.Pruitt can only sell hope for so long. Without a barrage of wins in 2019 it will have to be bagmen with the marketing push.
Understand. I'm not *counting on anywhere near 10 wins but think we get a good class by the end. That’s fair. Like I said, I’m not suggesting they’re bad recruiters. If kids want to see us win 10 games before they play for us, then that isn’t really a testament to our recruiters. Kids always want to play for a winning program. Hence again why Pittman was a meh recruiter and now at UGA is popping 5 stars like it’s going out of style.
THat is going to be the first finals that will be fun to watch. I personally do NOt like Harden, terrible teammate doesn’t play defense at all. It’s hard to watch the NBA no one knows what a foul is and the don’t value defense at all. IT cracks me up at how all these players complain about calls yet there moaning and complaining caused all of this. They sowed it and now they are reaping what they sowed.Golden state vs Milwaukee will be a fun finals to watch.
And why worry? We can't change it at all. I get that we all want to excel and recruiting discussions are why we're here, but I don't get all the hand-wringing. Ob la di. Ob la da.I said relax it's just December a few months ago. It worked out. Even relax it's just January worked. Until signing day happens I will still be relaxed about this class. That is the only deadline for judgement.
